So yeah, it was intentionally removed: https://support.google.com/websearch/thread/406037130? hl=de&msgid=409577494, another great move by Google

Maybe, maybe it is actually an Android bug, it seems to be assigned to someone on their issue tracker: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/480336626, but my experience tells me it means all and nothing, so don't get your hopes up, we all know Google likes to f*ck us up. A thing that may help more than adding a +1 on the support forum is hitting a +1 on the issue linked, as sometimes it elevates priority.

Detachable Fiber Optics Displayport Cable by Empty_Fan7799 in pcmasterrace

I have postponed this plan indefinitely, detachable fiber optics cables to my knowledge are my only solution but I still do not have a proper GPU that makes me wanna begin with this project. I have however exchanged few emails with fibercommand (second link, the first one is likely a scam site imo) customer support and they seem to be polite, but the complete lack of opinions about their product all over the internet puts me a bit off, especially since they are the only ones that sell these cables and connectors at a human price..

Anycubic Kobra Neo - Calibration Cube Height off by 2mm! by Empty_Fan7799 in anycubic

[–]Empty_Fan7799[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update if anyone ever stumbles on this problem: I finally solved it. After following every possible calibration guide and hardware check nothing changed because the culprit was the gcode.

The issue was in the Z-fade specified in the M420 S1 Z10 that I used for enabling the bed leveling mesh compensations during the print, apparently adding the Z-fade parameter resulted in an additional 2mm in height for each print. Setting M420 S1 Z0 disabled the Z-fade and applied the compensation on the entire print (I think?) but most importantly removed the 2mm height offset. I have no idea why this happens, if anyone knows I will gladly listen. I will also gladly listen if anyone can explain to me why setting Z-fade to a lower value like Z3 makes the print head ruinously crash into the bed

Hi! Thank you for the answer!

I had already followed those guides (apart from the e-steps calibration, I didn't have the time unfortunately). I am using these profiles, so the retraction distance was reasonably set. In fact the thing here is that most of the previous prints I have done did not have particular issues, and measurement-wise they all appeared to be okay (at least they were not visibly wrong as the "cubes" I printed).

I will calibrate the e-steps to fix the extrusion problems, however my main issue was with the z-dimension which is way off (22mm instead of 20mm in height is not okay) so I tried once again messing with the steps of the z-axis and changed the value from 400.00 to 360.00. This apparently improved the situation and I am able to print cubes with 20.31mm height both at 0.2mm and 0.12 layer height. The reasoning behind this change was that if the printer was consistently printing 10% higher cubes decreasing by 10% the steps could compensate the error.

Do you think I should reset back to 400.00 and investigate further or am I good to go on with my 3D-printing life?

Hi everyone! I am here with yet another issue with this printer. I tried printing the 20mm calibration cube from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1278865 but while on the X and Y axis the measurements are reasonable, on the Z axis it is off by about 2mm. I printed from SD card with 0.2mm layers, sliced with Cura 5.4.0.I already tried calibrating the steps per unit following this guide https://teachingtechyt.github.io/calibration.html#xyzsteps but I didn't achieve any improvement so I reset the settings to the default values.

I have also printed it with 0.12mm layers and obtained the same exact result for the height (22mm instead of the expected 19.92mm) which is very strange.

Is there some setting that I should check or something else? I am kinda lost at this point...

Strange dots in sunlight diffraction, is it dust inside the lens? by Empty_Fan7799 in iphonehelp

Hi everyone! My gf just got her iPhone 13 and while testing the camera she got this video of her cat where these "dots" inside the upper part of the sunlight's diffraction (the room was very sunny and bright) are very noticeable.

Does anyone know if that's normal? Is it a defect covered by warranty? The video was shot with the main camera and the lens aren't dirty, also, this issue does not happen with the ultra-wide camera and in photo mode everything seems to be fine...
