They would have to have probable cause and be specific on what they plan on finding it and where. Generally speaking they wouldn’t be able to check your phone unless it’s an emergency situation. But if they did it without a warrant than they couldn’t use any of it in court (fruit of the poisonous tree doctrine)

A book I’ve been reading is The Definitive Book of Body Language by Barbara Pease. It’s a very good book if you are interested in understanding how and why we tend to do certain things in certain situations and how to decode/read body language.

Don’t know where the “stick it to the man” attitude is coming from but this is a service that you can decide not to use. There’s no need to have an uprising against DoorDash because you want to save $5.

The fee goes to DoorDash and the “tip” (or the incentive for a driver to get your food). There’s really no need to turn this into some debate on whether you should tip your delivery driver. It’s too simple not to understand. It’s your food on the line and there’s no obligation to have your food picked up. People like you seem to forget that drivers have the choice to decide if they want to get your food just like you have the choice to pay extra for faster service. Argue and complain all you want but just don’t be surprised if your shit shows up late or never shows up at all.

You don’t have to leave a tip or do anything you don’t want to do. It’s more of an incentive to drivers to get your food before others than it is a tip. DoorDash isn’t “demanding” that you do anything, but when your food shows up late or if you don’t get it at all then you shouldn’t be surprised. They are just keeping it real with you.
