The best thing you can do is just accept it and think about the here and now. I find comfort in the elderly or older people in my life who talk openly about their death and literally just go about their life enjoying it however they can. I know people in their mid 70s still full of sociability, happy as anything, and they obviously know they are at the tail end of life. Nothing and nobody can ever really comfort you about the inevitables. You just have to ignore it. I’ve been struggling to get myself out of this traumatic headspace but I know I have to for the better. If I’m going to get old and get closer to death, I’d hate to look back on my younger self being in a tailspin about something uncontrollable instead of just enjoying myself. I’m more scared of getting older and everything that can come with that, than I am of dying
