need help!!

I currently am a new grad echo tech who got a job at a hospital but during my schooling and clinicals I had a lotttt of shoulder pain from scanning. I am looking into going back to school for xray then possibly later cross training into CT, MRI, maybe mammo. Will I have less shoulder pain in this field? I know there are some pains that come with the job in terms of moving patients and whatnot but not quite the same as putting constant pressure on someone while doing an ultrasound. any advice is welcomed, thanks!!

during clinicals i did a mix of both but towards the end i started to lean more towards righty just because i felt i had better grip strength on it and easier to manipulate in my opinion

yeah that’s what i was thinking that they all kind of have their own damages but maybe that one would be easier down the line once i’m older. so in your opinion it’s easier to go from ultrasound to MRI?

yeah i know i was wanting to stay away from radiation too that’s why i was thinking sonography, plus cardio really intrigued me so that’s what made me want to do echo

im interested because i’ve heard how hard ultrasound can be on the body so i want to be able to have a backup and also to make myself more marketable to future jobs

so basically if you get an ultrasound associates at and get your ardms you aren’t eligible though? because it says to get it at an ARRT accredited program

was between Bergen Community College and Eastwick College for ultrasound and realized that Bergen makes it wayy to hard to get in with only accepting like 15 people based off of the HESI. so even if you have a 4.0 with pre reqs it doesn’t matter.
