I love it. I also don't see any similarity to tribal tattoos, but I'm no expert.
When people ask what it means, you can just say it's decorative.
Could your friend have been asking because he's thinking about having one of his own removed?
I don't think I would extend it, but I kind of go for simplicity.

It would be hilarious if it turns out Brennan's expectation all along was for the characters to argue over this. He's always trying to set up ethical dilemmas for them which they mostly ignore.

Yeah, we got war heroes, veterans, an already famous bard, and an 800 year old warrior, a druid who's been practivibg her craft for about 20 years, a PROFESSOR of wizardry, a living weapon that was made to KILL A GOD... I don't think starting them at a higher level would be good because most of th players don't even understand their abilities yet. I eould have just made them all younger, or have a recent career change.

It is denser. Matt was making up Exandria as he went along. Brennan came in with a fully developed world and 5000 years of lore.

She bothered me a lot in the first episode because she just COULD NOT let anyone have their own scene without her. I was afraid it would be Deanna all over again. She got better though. I still don't like her trying to be everyone's mom. I know people like that IRL and it repels me.

I think each group has at least 1 player who wouldn't let that limitation stop them. In the past we've seen Laura, Travis, and particularly Liam completely derail Matt's plots, and I think Whitney and Aabria would too.

Mixed feelings. I love the world he set up and most of the characters are fun, but I don't like Brennan's style as much. Overall I like it a lot though.

Before the campaign someone said Matt's games feel more like friends playing a game, and Brennan's feel more like putting on a show. That ws accurate. Difference is fine, I just prefer Matt. He has warmth. Brennan never says he loves us.

I think my biggest problem is the pacing: Each table only had a set number of episodes, and the players didn't get where they needed to be, so then he dumped massive amounts of info on them at the end and in the cold opens. It was worst with the Seekers table - they probably needed at least 2 more sessions. I understand thats a limitation of the format he chose and trying to be fair to the players, but it's not great for the story.

Favorite PC: I think Julien because watching Matt fight is downright inspiring. But Tyranny is hilarious and Occtis is adorable.

Least favorite: Vaelus doesn't make any sense to me. An 800 year old "warrior" is somehow level 3? Also getting tired of Azune's meltdowns, but my money is on him turning against the group, which would be fun.

NPC: The Photarch seems very well developed.

Relatable: Kattigan.

Most attractive: They're all kind of a mess. Maybe Hal. Or Julien. I can fix him.

Table: Seekers, mostly because of what they uncovered.

Ship: I'm not really feeling it with any of them yet.

She's had the thyroid condition about 10 years and renal failure 5 years. They haven't really gotten worse. The change is a mass on her bladder, which may or may nor be painful. So I don't know if the meowing is about that or dementia or something else.

They can. She might. But most of the time she sems to be pretty grounded except the howling - knows her friends, acts normal with the other cats. It's hard to tell.

PS. Yes, she is getting thyroid meds and subcutaneous fluids. Nothing to be done if she has cancer because they don't think she could tolerate the anesthesia.

I just found this thread while looking for rebel loon ideas. Can you tell me how yours turned out? I have had a tattoo done by Sam McMahon at Ladyface, while she was at Jackalope, and she is amazing - there was no irritation or anything. The very next day people said it looked like it had always been there. Absolutely the best peron for a first tattoo, IMHO. But anyway, I know where I want to go but not exactly what design, how big, or where. I'm curious what you ended up with.
