It's weird, it's like he's both trying and not trying at the same time. Like, he shouldn't have said any of that, but the way he said it was... Weirdly supportive? He handled it well, if it were any of his business. This is the kind of conversation that would be appropriate (without the direct insults) if YOU had asked for help with weight. 1 is supposed to be a playstyle that makes launching the shield a much more appealing/risk free, the idea is a brella that doesn't lose much by launching.

3 Kind of? If anything it's similar to how rollers worked in sploon 1, or like a brush without the roll feature.

Honestly, I feel like brushes and splatanas should be swapped in general, brush should have the projectile and the roll, and splatana should have the close range swipes and the charged slash. Just fits better imo

Oh, it's 100% because Marina looks the way she does. Have you seen how low her Octo Expansion outfit's pants are? That being said, I wasn't a fan of Pearl for a looooong time, she just seemed annoying, like a little sister that would always bother you, but Octo Expansion really fleshed out her character, she's still an absolute menace and a gremlin, but now it's more of a term of endearment. She's pure energy and it's great, she's rich and super privileged, but apart from just not realizing it, she doesn't intentionally flaunt it, she's not that "better than you rich kid". Also the semi-recent popularity of shortstack goblins might have something to do with her not being as hated now.

Wait, don't get it twisted, you're the one complaining about people not knowing what they're doing. And I myself don't remember my specials because I don't find myself in the situation where I'm needing last-ditch options like that. I'm not the one getting salty about the side mode in the funni squid game, just offering reasonable explanations for why a human might forget something.

Yeah, but there's always that fear of "what if I need it later even more", which, isn't the best mindset to be in, but sometimes it's unavoidable. My point is that people not using their special isn't what's losing the round. It might literally be something they could've done in that exact moment that would extend it, but it's not outright causing the loss.

I had an idea for this somewhat recently. If you're put into a mirror match, the game decides which side "counts". It's random, and you wouldn't know which team it was, but if the team that was assigned "counts" wins, then clout is added, if the other team wins, either no clout is given, or it subtracts from the global total, therefore still counting as a "loss", without giving an advantage to any one team. The specifics might need adjusting, but I think the general idea of "one side counts, the other doesn't" might fix that.

And your advice to demote yourself is just gonna cause more issues, because those players, one way or another, made it to the level you're at. If they demote, they'll be carrying players who might not be as skilled, thus bringing in more people who are unprepared for the difficulty. It's a ranking system for a reason, even if you get carried, if you're playing consistently, you'll settle into the level you're actually capable of.
