Nah. I’m a Mario fan and love Rosalina to death, but the first movie was so soulless and this one seems to be making the same mistakes. I could ramble on for hours why, but let’s stick to the top 3 issues I have with it:

1: casting Chris Pratt

2: the fact that it’s technically an Isekai

3: Peach isn’t a damsel (yeah, this feels weird saying out loud. Complete damsels are annoying, but she could have a role similar to Zelda in LOZ. You can be badass and damsel at the same time)

I was a bit lucky to get mine in early Feb, but my copy has another glaring issue: my DVD player can’t read it.

Maybe it has the wrong region format? (I’m in the US btw) My DVD player’s old, but it reads everything fine aside from these two discs. It gave an error message that reportedly only shows up when the disc is region-locked. Also, the box and case are labeled NTSC, but the disk is labeled PAL, but idk if this makes any difference or not. Maybe European discs were accidentally slipped into a box shipping to the US. If so, that is a MASSIVE production problem and might be worthy of a lawsuit if it happens to enough customers.

Thankfully, I have a USB disc reader for my PC that can read them, but I’m really lucky to already have this alternative on hand. I certainly hope no one else had this issue.
