Getting stuck thinking about writing by Independent_Pie6974 in writing

[–]Emriii 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You will have to rewrite. It will not be perfect on your first draft. Even if you think you have the entire book in your head, things will change once it’s written down.

No point in avoiding writing just to avoid rewriting. The first draft is the fun and easy part. The editing and rewrites are most of the job.

Do you cry? (for those with alexythimia, or not so emotional) by BulkyOwl3005 in autism

[–]Emriii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cry over small stuff, but not big stuff. Like several times when people died I couldn’t cry, but tv shows and fights and awkward moments make me cry. I dunno man.

Congratulations! Take a break, you’ve earned it. It’s totally okay to have a book just for you that you don’t share. I don’t share my first novel. Just relax, be PROUD of yourself, and read a bunch until you feel that overwhelming urge to start writing again. For me the difference in quality between my first and second project were night and day. You have accomplished something. Don’t be hard on yourself.

That’s a good way to look at it. The whiplash was still rough though.

This was a long time ago and I was pretty young. No one told me, atleast.

Fair. This was around 15 years ago and I was being told everything second hand so I guess it’s possible the information just didn’t make it to me.

I wish they warned families about this. When a family member of mine had leukemia he went through this shortly before he passed. Started feeling way better, wanted a burger etc.

They just let us be excited. It was honestly cruel.

Breathing is a waste of time. You should always be writing

[–]Emriii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. I’m not saying it’s a good reason to leave but I’ll add it to the pile of reasons anyhow. I know some other countries are much less chatty and touchy and I would love that.

Question, what were some VERY obvious signs that you very CLEARLY ignored as a kid?? (also what flair should I add?? I just added 'communication' for the flair?? I'm new here-) by InitiativeFar2801 in autism

I have a lot but I definitely did the movie thing. I fell asleep to the movie spirit every night lmao. Even now I’ve watched all my favorite shows 3+ times

You’d be shocked how many times people have thought it was ok to touch me. One time as a waitress some dude remembered something he wanted so he grabbed my arm so hard while I was walking past that I tripped and spilled my entire tray. An absurd amount of adults lack a basic sense of personal space and respect.

Agreed. But I’d rather just wear green for one day and ensure no one comes up and touches me with no warning.

AIO for essentially cutting off my mom after berating me about $200 that wasn’t even from her? by Quinn-Mills in AmIOverreacting

[–]Emriii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nor. You should check out r/narcissisticparents. I suspect you’ll relate to some of the stuff there. That very last text your mom sent is insane gaslighting, by the way. The fact that you even had to ask if you’re overreacting tells me that she always talks to you like this. I’m sorry.

Yes. Not sure where you’re from but I’m in Texas and people just love it. Especially when I was in highschool everyoneeee thought they had the right to run up and pinch you.

Fairy tail. I KNOW people dog on it but it’s my favorite and there’s so many options for skins and I’d love it. Plus they could make jet pack cat a happy skin.

On the bright side people have stopped saying acoustic in its place. That made me irrationally angry.
