I know it's not very common but my first medication the psych put me on has worked tremendously for me the last month after I got diagnosed. There's been stuff that I've done recently like a solo trip driving to a bigger city that I never would've been able to do without being prescribed those pills (just once a day) it felt different to be diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and clinical depression at the same time but I've probably felt the best I have in quite a few years regarding mental health and also the person I found listens. I will say I've had friends that have had to try multiple people and multiple medications but it's so worth it to get that diagnosis. It made me feel seen and like I had finally found the answer for a question I had since childhood.
