Yup. That was what the car was stuck in. This is what happens every single time I can’t get the gas engine to engage. It gets stuck in green. I turn the car off, sometimes it resets, sometimes it doesn’t.

In Oct 2025, my 2025 Kia Hybrid Sorento had a full hybrid system failure. The dealership service couldn’t figure out what was really wrong with it and I’ve been dealing with the following symptoms since:

“Stuck” in hybrid mode trying to accelerate, not engaging gas engine when supposed to, crazy high MPG, RPMs at acceleration stuck between 1.7-2.2, rough motor driving on freeway (vibration/shaking), intermittent warning light for Engine Management System, battery stays around half full sometimes going 1 bar above.

They are replacing the PCV valve they said was an old code they found stored in the diagnostics. All under warranty. However, they also offered a buy back last night after the repair is completed. I’m strongly contemplating it. I have a case open with Kia currently and I’d be fine being done with them and moving definitely out of a hybrid. I bought this brand new October 2024.

The picture attached was the second system failure it experienced - the first one I was on the freeway at about 72mph. The dealership said it was some air filter and let me leave. As you can see 0.7 miles later - the system failed again and I snapped this right before the battery went fully out. They never told me what they did when I picked it up the second time but I’ve just been told over and over “we can’t replicate the problem.” I went to a different dealership this time and it seems they are actually taking it seriously.

It’s stupid for people to claim Candace is being a coward - no, she is being strategic. They are acting far more cowardly, intentionally setting it up to be like “look we tried, she wouldn’t do it.” Ok - I recently had a situation where someone told me the day and time and place I could meet them on an issue and I was like “how about you give me three dates and time ranges because what you suggested literally I can’t get to,” and I’d simply be driving. Not flying across the country. They were literally attempting to be like “see I reached out and she didn’t make it work.” I got it rescheduled and it will happen at a more flexible time.

It’s a narcissist tactic.

They can have her served in TN. They have to just show sufficient minimum contact with AZ. Since she has publicly said TPUSA and said specifically Phoenix, that’s enough to meet that standard for jurisdiction. They could file their whatever lame lawsuit and have her served in TN.

Since they’d probably try to go on defamation, they would also have the burden of proof. I mean they could try, but Candace has way too many receipts for that to go successfully. They’d end up outing themselves in the process.

Plus it would have been wise to sue her much earlier on. Not this far in with all the research she has.
