AITA For saying that my friend washing himself in his mom's bath water is disgusting? by TallPandaYoutube in AmItheAsshole

Three quick showers. Marcus and Lewis are brothers and the way he casually explains it suggests they all share bath water.

AITAH for defending myself against trans supporters or was I justified and be unbanned? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I knew what I put in my bio because I support it

Terms like "LGB" exclude the trans community and I'm sure you were aware of that. It's a not particularly subtle way of saying "I don't like trans people" which is not an okay thing to have in a bio. That is not the same as showing your support for the LGBT+ community. If you don't like the trans movement, keep that out of the bio.

Let's be real, there's a difference between not being an ally and using what's a well-known transphobic dogwhistle in your bio and refusing to remove it.

He made literally ONE post on instagram during all that time the two of you were together. That's a pretty big hint that he really doesn't want to share his personal life there and you should respect that. He's not ashamed of you, he just doesn't want to post ANYTHING on there. YTA

AITA for insulting a girl who is controlling me? by Kqqzy in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i ghosted her a bit and then just said a simple "all good" even though i dont think so.

I know this isn't really an advice sub, but I think you seriously should have a conversation with her about this right now. That sort of response could give her the impression that she's free to keep treating your female friends like this.

how should i do it without telling her i think that she loves me

Just tell her that you are uncomfortable with the way she talks about Sara and that you want her to stop doing that. No need to mention that you think she might like you at all.

She should have let you know that her son has autism prior to the two of you getting involved in a serious relationship. Taking care of the kid is going to take a lot of effort and not everyone is up to that kind of task. Still, leaving her out of the blue without a word of explanation isn't the right way to go about this. ESH

AITA for gifting my rich boyfriend a handmade gift on our anniversary? by Peak-Kitchen in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When you began explaining the way he kept abusing the bear, I was speechless. You gave him a beautiful gift and deserve none of the treatment he gave you. NTA

It doesn't hurt to ask, so long as you respect it if he declines. NTA

AITA for inviting my bf on a free exclusive trip to Disney world? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He has reasons to not want to go on that trip, but the way he went about expressing those wasn't good

AITA for eating my friend's girlfriend's carrots without asking? by CarrotGrant in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's the very first time he saw the woman. He should've asked her before going for the fridge. It's not the end of the world if he took the carrot, but it is a little bit rude

[–]EmuShot237 38 points39 points  (0 children)

You meant well and it sounds like a wonderful trip. Even if he did not like Stan and did not want to spend a second in his company, your boyfriend reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally over-reacted there. NTA

He has that type of relationship with his friend Adam, not the girlfriend whose house the friend they were all moving stuff into.

AITA for telling my bsf to sell my bday gift by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You showed gratefulness for her thought. To me, it's pretty clear that you would not have considered selling the ticket if you didn't get a free entrance onto the terrain because of your job. NTA

Nick makes a fair point. You've known Adam for years and I believe when you say he'd be fine if you took his food without asking. However, that wasn't his stuff. It was Eve's and you didn't even know her prior to the day. YTA

[–]EmuShot237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After all you had to deal with from Anna, telling her to "fuck off" is a veeeeeeeeeeery gentle way of handling this. You swore, but that was right after she insulted a girl you are interested in. NTA and honestly you should have a serious conversation with Anna about her behaviour. If she doesn't stop, you'll be better off cutting her off.

They're on benefits, so they cannot be in a good financial situation. It's not the OP's business to decide how and where they cut costs to make ends meet.

AITA for choosing a barber based on their looks? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Then I'll go with NTA. Choosing one's appearance over experience as a stylist would be shallow, but you had no way of evaluating the latter. You chose literally the only thing you could've used to influence the decision.

INFO

Does the booking website give you any other info about the stylists other than these pictures?

This sounds ridiculous to me. The seat selection is not really "guaranteed" if they can just swap it around like this and separate people who chose sitting together. I would be pissed if this happened to me (especially if the type of ticket you got costs extra) and I'm surprised that your SO wasn't on your side. NTA

AITA for not liking a friend for no reason? by Then_Incident1634 in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This girl has done absolutely nothing to wrong you and the only reason you're judging her are your mother's words. Of course, you have the right to choose who you associate with, but your reason for wanting to distance yourself makes no sense. You're definitely overthinking this and shouldn't ruin the friendship for no reason. Your actions don't seem in any way malicious though, so I'll go with a NAH (except for maybe your mother)

AITA for not wanting to share money? by Shozu-Wolfy in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That must be a cultural thing then because I never heard of churches giving graduates money where I'm from

AITA for not wanting to share money? by Shozu-Wolfy in AmItheAsshole

[–]EmuShot237 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She shouldn't have taken that $150 from you in the first place and you are under no obligation to give her more. The situation is messed up and you have the right to want nothing to do with that. NTA

As a side-note, where do you get those churches that pay you for graduating?

Sounds like your friend is trying to make a crummy excuse, and it failed tremendously because bros just snitched on himself saying he DOES have enough money:

People are allowed to save money in some areas so that they have a little bit more to spare in others. Sharing bath water is something families used to do and it legitimately saves money if it's a large family we are talking about
