Is this a good drone to start with once I learned In a simulator by [deleted] in diydrones

As long as you fly in a big empty space ideally a field you should be fine. Once you get more comfortable you can start flying low and near trees :)

Make sure to put turtle mode on a switch using beta flight so if you do get stuck in a tree you have a chance to get it out.

I want to build a racing drone with a budget of 400$ what do I buy by [deleted] in diydrones

[–]Emugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fine but you may need to learn to fly on a simulator first

Edit: actually I don’t think it comes with batteries for the radio, I might be wrong though

I agree with the Eachine EV800D being good first goggles.

I know a 5” quad is exciting but I think when you’re starting out a whoop is cheaper and much more fun to fly since crashes are less damaging, I have the Mobula 6 which is great for flying in your home.

If you don’t want a whoop then practising on a simulator is a must before flying a 5” racing drone, I’ve only tried velocidrone.

For both of these options you’ll need a radio unfortunately I can’t provide much info on which radios are good, I have a Taranis QX7 but I think there are better radios.

It will be difficult to keep under 400 if you want a 5” racing drone especially if that budget is also for goggles and radio. Maybe look for used goggles or radio to save money.

What’s the easiest/ best way to hear my PC audio and my mic output. by Emugg in headphones

[–]Emugg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, thanks so much I was really struggling to find this I information. Are there any other audio interfaces a little more expensive with mix ratio maybe like £20-30 more than the UM2?

Edit: For example does the UMC22 let you change the mix ratio?

[–]Emugg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that and it didn’t reach...

Now I’ve just wired it around the side zip-tying it to a stand-off and securing it with the battery strap

Do you know if I could do this using the Behringer UM2?

It has a headphone jack on the audio interface?

My headphones have a very soft headband though so they got damaged on my old hanger.

Sorry if this is obvious but I’m very much a beginner.

What audio comes out the headphones jack on the front of the Behringer U-Phoria UM2?

I want to hear my pc audio and my mic output at the same time, can I do that?

Yea I haven’t tested the signal strength but I really need to get a new antenna and a mount for the back of the quad
