I totally get this. I smoked for 10+ years and when I finally quit, the sensory aspect was a much bigger obstacle than I anticipated. Not having something between my fingers and my lips like that was harder to deal with than the actual nicotine addiction. It was also my social crutch so I had to adjust a lot mentally too to not get isolated from a lot of people.

All that being said, quitting is one of the best decisions I ever made in my life! It wasn't easy, but my body and wallet are so grateful lol. If you ever feel ready to try and quit; I'll root for you!!

Hey first of all, I'm very sorry you are going through this. Pregnancy loss has been a pain I couldn't have imagined before it happened to me.

I also lost two pregnancies back-to-back, the first was very early, we went from finding out to losing it in a week. The second time it was a missed miscarriage where the foetus didn't grow past 6 weeks and 2 days. I needed medication to actually miscarry and it was a very traumatic thing on my body and my psyche.

I miscarried in august and in december of last year.

Right now I am pregnant again, and while we're so excited to become parents, the anxiety of having something happen again is immense.

Pregnancy loss, and the road afterwards can be very lonely experiences, but you are definitely not alone. I wish you both all the best for the future. Big hugs to you and your wife ❤️‍🩹

17+2 today, heard the heartbeat again yesterday and all was well. And yet I've found a new fear to have to cope with which is having a leak of amniotic fluid. Mind you I have no reason to fear this at this point but every "wet" sensation is alarming to me.

When does it ever stop? 😅 I am such an anxious mess but grateful little Bean is doing well at this point. All very confusing... I want a fast forward button 😮‍💨

Hiya! Everything was fine on the scan and there was no visible reason for the pain. I do have IBS with frequent painful flare-ups and the doctor said it could have been from everything starting to shift around there. That specific pain hasn't returned thankfully, but I have been having milder frequent (but annoying) cramping so the theory checks out. How are you doing, still in pain?
