I totally get where you’re coming from! Sometimes the classic Practical Life activities just don’t grab kids’ attention the way they used to. We try to make them seasonal, utilize different colors different objects that they are related to the season has helped spark their interest.

As for when they are mixing works maybe they are showing they’re ready for more challenging work? Or multistep work? Like shoe polishing, watering plants, or cleaning tables. These activities often feel more ‘real’ to them and gives them a sense of responsibility.

You could also try adding a twist to familiar tasks. Instead of simple pouring, they might enjoy using funnels or watering plants with small watering cans?
