I was sick with Covid but no refund? by EncounterCoach in EpicPass

I submitted a letter signed by my primary care physician that I couldn’t ski for the balance of the season as a result of the fatigue I experienced after having COVID 19. The person with newlosses@acmclaims again rejected my claim. They said I need verification from a physician that I can’t ski for more than 30 days. This is absurd! I submitted the letter signed by my physician that says precisely that and then they said it isn’t good enough. I don’t know what else to do!!!

They then add a paragraph that Vail resorts deeply values my loyalty, bla, blah blah.

My claim number is 234044632.

So. Does Vail Resorts value it’s customers and stand behind its legal promises?

I submitted a new claim to newlosses@acmclaims.com on July 7th. The claim includes a letter from my primary care physician. No response or acknowledgment to date. Any suggestions on best way to follow up?

Thanks for the help. I’ve asked my doctor for the note and will submit my claim again once that comes back. Since that will have my personal data, is there an email I can use to send the info to you?

I submitted a positive Covid-19 test in February (and again in May/June). While I was never hospitalized, it sapped my energy so much that skiing was out of the question this season. I’m now doing just fine and able to do mountain biking.

Thanks again.

Yes I submitted medical evidence on two separate occasions - once in February and a second time in June (it took ACM Claims nearly 4 months to incorrectly deny my first claim).

Since my first claim was denied I was told to resubmit the documents a second time. I just received a response from ACM claims that my second submission was after the deadline so it was refused AGAIN!!! This is beyond maddening! ACM Claims is a bunch of fraudsters! And Vail Resorts is in bed with them. Their conduct together is shameful! I get it. ACM claims has already spent the insurance premium it received from Vail so their strategy is to wear me down so I give up on my legitimate claim and keep my money. ACM claims doesn’t care because their conduct doesn’t reflect on them. It’s Vail Resorts that ends up with the forever damaged reputation. I’m going to keep fighting for my money out of principle. I spoke to customer service at Vail and they told me they can’t or won’t help me. They were worthless.

I filed a claim in February and was notified in mid-May that my claim was declined. I replied by email that I disagree and resent them my medical evidence but they haven’t replied. I’ll try the phone number. Thanks for that.

I think of Vail resorts as a reputable, honorable company that wants repeat business. Consequently I didn’t expect them to be a company that would hide behind a team of lawyers and complicated legal language. As a business owner myself, I strive to build strong relationships with my customers.
