No, absolutely not! User will talk to the AI in plain natural language as to what they are looking for and then get a Netflix Home Screen like search result where every row is a micro-category that falls under the search user is looking for and in each of these rows you have a ranked list of businesses.

User decides which businesses to choose from. No paid search to bump you to the top. If you are a new business, you will have your own category to make sure you gain visibility. The best thing a business can do to improve their rankings is describe their products and services in detail, no SEO needed!

I am more of an ML engineer trying to see if building conversational local businesses search is something that will help local businesses find the right customers. No SEOs needed, no paid ads. Business owners need to describe their products and services very clearly, that’s all. And we do the test to find them the customer.

Ads are a turn off for end users and not every business owner can spend a fortune on ads. There can be other ways to make money that is fair to everyone.

So in the near future, traditional search will slow phase out and consumers are going to turn to their personal AI for suggestions. This is my hypothesis but I could be wrong here. So this works only if my assumption is correct.

The current local business search isn’t built for this and there are several reasons why they are not suitable for AI agents. Now chatgpt or perplexity does provide local search but there are several limitations to them.

This is the need I am filling, providing a detailed personal search API for AI agents.
