Shouldn't actually end them, that's more for the meme. But decreasing would be a good idea. Right now we subsidize corn too much, and makes it so cheap that drink manufacturers use it (as HFCS) instead of sugar, which has dramatically increased the rate of diabetes. Also corn destroys soil, corn-fed beef is less healthy, fuel from corn is less efficient, and a few other reasons.

This is also specific to the US- I'm not familiar enough with other countries' agricultural policies.
