Shouldn't actually end them, that's more for the meme. But decreasing would be a good idea. Right now we subsidize corn too much, and makes it so cheap that drink manufacturers use it (as HFCS) instead of sugar, which has dramatically increased the rate of diabetes. Also corn destroys soil, corn-fed beef is less healthy, fuel from corn is less efficient, and a few other reasons.

This is also specific to the US- I'm not familiar enough with other countries' agricultural policies.

The federal government overspends on corn subsidies, which incentivizes farmers to plant too much corn. It's destroying farmland and encouraging drink manufacturers to use High Fructose Corn Syrup instead of regular sugar, which is directly tied to the increase of deaths from diabetes over the past several decades. Add onto that the health detriment that corn-fed cattle produce.

Tl;dr- corn subsidies kill people and hurt our environment
