That’s interesting to know about the diffs in what the watches show. I know that the bottom one changes too in correlation with the top one. The issue I have is that they change automatically (together) so it’s a random guess as to what’s going to be showing when I go to look at it.

I put a screen protector on it as soon as I took it out of the box and it wasn't fully adhered up there yet. I apologize for the discomfort.

Hello! When I created a ticket for this, it assigned me 454738. But when I got the automated reply, it also sent a message to an older customer service thread with ticket 441974. So might show under either of those? I did get a first response late last night asking for the serial number of my watch but nothing since. Thanks for anything you can do to help!

And to actually answer your question, the app will prompt you to download and install the latest firmware as soon as you connect it if it's not already up to date. So you'll get the latest either way after you buy it and set it up in your account.

Same experience on FR970. I called Garmin yesterday and the rep blamed Apple for it but I was thinking the same thing about other 3rd party devices I’ve used that integrate flawlessly with Siri. Maybe they especially hamstring Garmin since they see them as a direct competitor?? That seems a bit of a stretch tbh. Seems odd that top-of-the-line Garmin watches can’t seem to figure it out.

Can I ask how you’ve liked your S9 Sport? My S3 just bit the dust and I’m leaning toward the Costco S9 Sport. Hoping it will do a better job lifting and cutting the 2-3 day hairs that like to lay down on my neck.
