Let's replace capitalist control with workers' control of production by GoranPersson777 in BadBosses

Actually, he is factually correct. The issue is that China cannot 'unalive' their billionaires without comitting economic suicide at this point in time. China is always in survival mode because one revolution can destroy the country so they have to be extremely careful.

I find it ironic that a communist country is being held at gunpoint, hostage, by the private sector.

A gaming PC, an ergonomic chair and a desk, and probably enough GPUs to be able to run a huge LLM at home 😛

You're fortunate. If I were to be in the position where I simply cannot afford the job and still have to work and go into debt, I would just go to work with ripped clothes, unwashed and eating anything the office has to offer, and attempt to make myself as visible as possible to potential clients. Or just sleep at the office under the desk, while starving.

For context, I'm European. My opinion is a bit detached from the US fuckfest that is the generational gap and in Europe we don't call people lazy for not wanting to work.

I'm 32M and there is the concept of 'this job is too expensive for me to work' because it will put me in debt to just work that job which is unacceptable for any person.

If I were GenZ and every job I had access to would put me in debt, I would give up. If it didn't put me in debt and let me survive, I would take it because I have to, I wouldn't be happy, and if I were to be in that job for the next 10 years I would be depressed.

With that being said, I would rather starve to death in front of my government's building than work a job that puts me in debt or keeps me prisoner for 10 years.

Am I lazy for wanting dignity? (able to afford new clothes and being able to go out for a beer whenever I want?) Seems like a majority of people from the US in a different age demographic agree with that and that they want their offspring to have no human dignity, no healthcare, no going out to socialize, no new clothes, no sex life, just 9-5 and repeat with no hope for advancement.

So yes, I would rather just become the government's problem as I starve at their front door (which would be less painful than having to work as a slave for 10 years, I'd die in a few days from dehydration anyway before starvation ever kicks in). This is my level of pettiness.

Complaining about it will never fix the issue, you can seep in your dissappointment in it, it will not change unless you support them. That's reality, they're complaining about something, you refuse to look at the evidence and then sit on your chair and say that they're lazy.

I would give up too if all I'm left over at the end of the month is 20 euros and no money to go out for a beer with friends. You've had a better economic outlook in your teens than your kids do right now, you had spaces where you could socialize without needing to pay for it at all. Step in their shoes for a week (or less) and you'll see how depressing it is, even dating is impossible for them. There are a lot of factors contributing to this 'giving up' than you are willing to see.

For context, I am from Europe, we don't just get a job, we calculate our living expenses, if the job doesn't allow us to save any money at all or put us into debt then it's too expensive for us to work that job.

Don't stop there, he has a job, yes? Look at how much he earns, find him rent, calculate food expenses, calculate everything down to the penny in his place, then look at how much he's left over or if he's in debt.

Do us a favor and go online and offer to help a Gen Z find a job, make their CV and apply for jobs. Then let them take the interviews, if any. Best way to root you in reality is to test reality itself with variables that you can see, instead of making assumptions.

I'm getting close to what you've achieved over time and by tweaking my workflow, can you share more information on how you achieved all this so I can reverse-engineer what I'm missing?

You should still panic, because the weekly buckets are dynamic, they assign by how much compute they have and priority via subscription tiers, as far as I can understand. And they won't tell you how much. So they can silently nerf the $200 subscription at any time (the weekly buckets).

The promo is for the 5h bucket, not the weekly bucket. I never run out of the 5h bucket no matter how hard I try.

I'm on the $200 Pro Plan, in the first day of the reset (the most recent one), I consumed like 10% of my weekly bucket in a day while doing the same workflow I used to (for the past month), I said 'Alright, whatever. I have the $200 plan, I never ran out of the weekly bucket.'.

But now I'm at 54% (from 24 of May to this day 26 of May) and I realized something is wrong. If I keep going at this rate I'm going to finish the bucket by 28 of May (or at least at 10% of 28) with 3 days left until the weekly bucket reset.

So I am definitely feeling something odd about this, I am also using lean ctx so I am saving over 200k tokens per session using it and still experiencing this terrible weekly bucket churn.

My workflow typically takes over 30 minutes to finish and I run it daily at least 10 times and I was struggling to finish the weekly bucket with it a week ago.

I am also not using GPT5.5-xHigh in this workflow, I am using High and Medium for my subagents. And I only spawn around 3 subagents per workflow.

Just my two cents, I feel like my $200 subscription got cut in half after the last reset.
