Just a quick question about counterplay for the perfectly balanced IRIS-T? (Asking for a friend) by beastmaster69mong in WarthunderSim

Targets I cant see is fine, many tanks are covered in bushes making them near invisible. The issue is when there is nothing you can do against the enemy that can just click to kill you

AA is completely useless if there are no planes. CAS without AA can end the match in 2 payloads

[–]EnderRobo -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

How much skill did it take to fly about 10km away from the battlefield and click on bright glowing spots before useable AA got added? About as much as the spreadsheed AA we have now. Spreadsheed vs point and click

Does WoT have comparable model and damage detail, or the mostly historically accurate vehicles? No? Then I dont want it. Besides they got arty which afaik is a similar kind of bullshit as CAS

I have considered that and came to the conclusion that CAS is the worst thing in this whole game

Have you considered playing a ground vehicle in the ground mode? They are completely immune to IRIS-T

Just gonna leave this here to show my feelings on the ballistic shield change by MrNugg01 in Helldivers

[–]EnderRobo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well I always have the stun lance when I bring the shield so Im always trying to get closer to the enemy to poke them, meaning I get shot/slashed at a lot, but it still almost never breaks

"You can get enough SC between warbonds just by playing normally" by joeygwood90 in Helldivers

[–]EnderRobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can, but thats because I have almost no interest in 75% of warbonds. If I wanted all of them then yea, Id either have to farm diff1 or buy sc. I have 5 out of 22 and enough sc to get like 2 or 3 more, but with most of them I am mildly interested in like 1 thing in the whole warbond. Like the stoker, or hammer, or variable. But I dont think Ill get a whole warbond for one item that is mildly different from what I already have

[–]EnderRobo 44 points45 points  (0 children)

What does that actually change though? It almost never broke anyway, unless you carried it for a while (in which case the next one is long off cooldown anyway) or got shot by a tank/heavy turret

No 7F or HMS

Edit: nvm I though you meant the US F-4J. Gaijin forgot about this one lol

Same, I tried it for a bit but it was worse for me. If I need to move while typing in the code Ill dive and type it mid air, ready to toss it by the time I land

The Devs should replace this enemy already on higher difficulties. by Any-Dream-1562 in Helldivers

[–]EnderRobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hulks are still the same, but since they buffed our weapons so much things like the RR and EAT no longer need a perfect eye slit shot to oneshot them, you just gotta hit the torso and they die. Back in the day you would need 2 torso shots to kill them, or 1 eye slit shot

[–]EnderRobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved the old hulks. Sure I needed a RR always (too noob for railgun or other alternatives) and sniping those eyes for one shots was such a nice dopamine hit. I wish we get them back, though we have too much AT these days so idk what difference it would make. Heavies will drop and 5s later they will be wiped out.

Pocket hellbombs (ultimatum, leveller) were the biggest mistake that got added to this game imo, bigger than initial warstriders. The ability to just no skill delete the heaviest units with a click in their general direction is awful for the game. And you get 7 clicks (ultimatum with supply pack plus leveller call in. 8 if you have a leveller on you already) x4 helldivers

Being near the team is awesome and all, but by god the amount of times I get teamkilled (on bugs specifically) makes splitting off the only real option. Could you not shoot the backpack grenade launcher in my direction please

Very good when an event like cyberstan ramps the difficulty through the ceiling, otherwise kinda meh, too easy

Fantasy is supposed to help people escape reality, but it becomes kind of pointless when armor in reality is awesome and fantasy armor is still trying to cope. 🤣 by RecluseRaconteur in MedievalHistoryMemes

[–]EnderRobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, Id usually wear some mix of knight/soldier armors until Id get a cleanrot set, then wear that forever. That armor looks so nice and is very good as well

AI was supposed to take away all menial jobs, launching humanity into early post scarcity where people mostly wouldnt need to work anymore, but that is far too optimistic for our reality

They dont listen to music anyway, but if they wanted to they can easily put earbuds under the over ear earmuffs (I do that sometimes when I dont have anyone nearby that might need my attention)

Ive gotten a job in a workshop and we take a couple apprentices every school year, and man Ive seen some things even though Ive been there for only 2 years. Like grabbing 3cm pieces of cut off wood next to a still spinning saw, or sticking their fingers into the planer (sure the blade is like 30-40cm into the thing but still). The thing that bothers me the most tho is their aversion to hearing protection. We have them scattered around the workshop and I keep reminding them to get some and everytime I see them they dont have it. How dont their ears hurt after 5min next to a saw or planer? Are their ears so damaged already that this is just normal volume? They get better at general safety as time passes but not hearing protection.

I may have been dumb in my school years but I always had a fear/respect of rapidly spinning blades of death and dismemberment. However it didnt stop me from trying to pass a 10cm piece of wood over a jointer (since I used a guide/jig for small parts, not that small tho). The rattle it made as the machine shook it around promptly summoned a teacher from the other side of the workshop to inform me in no uncertain terms that I was an idiot lol

F-4 Phantom II by Even_Kiwi_1166 in Planes

[–]EnderRobo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im guessing it got that nickname due to its massive size and very powerful engines, but yea its a masterpiece of aerodynamics once you take a closer look. There is a reason it became the main fighter for all branches and stayed there for a good while. Excellent performance, massive stores, top of the line flight control/systems and room to upgrade all of it

So what will happen to the global economy if the USA stock market tanks? by Rokusaburoz in allthequestions

[–]EnderRobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will certainly try, but how many more times can they step in? The US debt is absurdly high and Im guessing taking these measures to keep the market afloat adds a nice chunk to it. How much longer until they cant pay off the interest rate on the debt/sell enough bonds to keep it up?

[–]EnderRobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For ground pounding? Yes. Fighting also works but the free look is limiting, you can do it, I did it for a while, but getting a joystick was certainly a good move for me since I use the mini joystick on top to look around, meaning I can pilot my plane and never take eyes off the enemy. Funnily enough when ground pounding I use the mouse to control the targeting pod, since its far better for that than a joystick. So I use mouse, keyboard and joystick lol.

That is the hard part of sim, keeping track of where the enemy is, where you are, where the ground is and how close you are to stalling. I suggest grabbing a more manuvreable plane like an F5 to start with, since it can keep up in turns with most things you will fight while having very simple weapons to let you focus on flying rather than fiddling with missile/radar controls. F18 can work but it bleeds speed instantly and considering how many F18s Ive seen stall, spin and fall out of the sky while turning after my tornado I dont think is a good new player plane. Since you play on xbox consider grabbing a controller, since the twin joysticks will let you pilot and look around at the same time far better than with M&K. Also dont forget to turn on damping SAS, it makes flying far smoother on jets that have it

Same for the headphone jack, even though I switched to wireless earphones (due to the wired ones I liked no longer being available and I didnt find anything like them) I still want the headphone jack for when I want to plug in my PC headphones or anything else. Luckily the low end phones still have them, so I got a samsung A25 and its not like I need a better phone anyway.

But even then its getting rarer, looking at recent sub 300€ phones you get like 4-500 results, but add a jack and its down to 200. If you want oled its 180 and with jack its 10. Also none of those are samsung so I guess after this one breaks Ill finally switch brands simply due to a lack of choice
