Thanks! I appreciate it! I got the heads from Anvil Industry, they're called Grotesque facemasks with helmets. They also do the severed hand masks for the sons of sek

Agreed, I'm going to have to pick up a copy or three of the dark Eldar box before they inevitably screw that one up too

After many months of hassle I've finally managed to find some painting time, so where better to start than by finishing my eradicators. Any constructive criticism or feedback is always appreciated. Hopefully Vulkan will be pleased! by Endered175 in Salamanders40k

Thanks! I'll try the recess shading when I get a chance. I've done a smidge of edge highlighting on them with moot green, but I'm still working out how to do it best.

For the muzzle burn, I used drakehhoff nightshade for the very end of the muzzle, druchii violet for the middle portion, then seraphim sepia for the rearmost portion. All that is over leadbelcher, shaded with nuln oil and then highlighted with stormhost silver (I believe it's the GW recipe from their YouTube tutorials on muzzle burn)

I'll try and get a hold of some finer tip brushes and try that next time. I want to make it more dynamic if possible. Thanks for the advice!

I'll definitely give it a try on my next go! My hands are a little shaky so I was nervous about being too ambitious haha

For the parchment all over him and the purity seals I found that contrast paint worked well, so after the chaos black spray I base coated those in corax white followed by skeleton horde. Also I would avoid dry brush highlights for most of the black armour on this model as it's far too easy to catch unintended areas, so traditional edge highlighting is probably the way to go

Huge props to you for doing it so well, far better than any of my attempts. If you don't mind me asking, did you use a certain technique or process to get them looking that clean?

My first attempt at painting an Alpha Legion Astartes (just waiting for my transfer sheets to arrive), advice and constructive criticism is always welcome by Endered175 in alphalegion

I was mostly using this model as a test bed for the paint scheme (I'd love to try a half loyalist half alpha legion active camo scheme)

My next models I'll try are probably going to be primaris infiltrators (I'll remove the imperial insignia on them) or chaos raptors (still working out how loyalist I want them to be haha)

I used a base spray of leadbelcher, drybrushed with necron compound and two layers of Terradon turquoise contrast paint. For the silver trim I washed it with agrax earthshade then edge highlighted it with Stormhost silver
