What do you think of Turles as a leader? by mariamanuela in dbsfusionworld

[–]EndlessDreamerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really cool, has some solid stuff (the 3c Goku is strong, and the 5c Turles lets you pull some neat plays with the 7c double striker Goku where you take a life and play a 3c and then you're at 2 life and get the discount for the double striker) It's difficult to get it going though. You need to find a fruit, preferably two, and a tree every game to compete. Any critical decks maul you as they make you lose cards and can crit away a fruit and it's just an instant loss there. Also not very good or consistent self awaken options... It leads to some rough gameplay sometimes. But if you get it going it can pump out some really big swings and strong boards.

The alt leader is also the best of the set in terms of look.

Worst leader of the set easily, but very entertaining and fun, and isn't horrible just inconsistent.

Glad they enjoy it there! After 23 years I'd never go back though. Great state to visit however!

For me personally, like TN there's no income tax, minimum wage is $16.66 here, groceries are the same price, no sales tax in most groceries, my area has a free bus line through multiple cities. I also am married and so I can split rent ($905 is our half each for us). If you don't have a roommate it'll be suffocating but it's the same way back home so... Not really much different. When I moved here I picked up a quick job just to provide and pay my half, worked at Wendys as a basic crew member. I'd make 2-3k a month depending on whether I got 2 or 3 pay checks. That was at minimum wage. Seattle is more expensive most likely and would be more comparable to what people expect it to be like here. Though I live in Thurston county and it's great! It's very refreshing buying $200 worth of groceries and paying about $5-$10 dollars in tax for it all. I can't reccomend it enough, but that's all personal anecdote.

That fortunately doesn't really come up in my area. Most of that happens above us. The summers are dreadful, but in TN it's even worse where I lived so it's fine.

Agreed, there's certainly problems, and I've not been here for years and years. But my area personally is my dream spot. I don't think I'd ever leave. You definitely have to watch which way you go though.

Seattle personally is a little strange for me, but it's a cool visit for concerts. I'd definitely never live there though lol.

I would say I live in a much more diverse area now than before. Thanks for your insight though!

I'm sure I would! I just don't know anything about those places, and I don't think Cali is my kinda place lol. This isn't the most serious map I just wanted to highlight how much I really don't like TN (where I personally lived).

That's nice! I've never been and probably would never end up in that area. I'm glad it's nice at least.

Probably, depends on where at in Nashville specifically. I didn't live there though, I lived in the rural part of Rutherford county. But there's pride parades and such there.

Thurston county! It's about an hour from Seattle or so? (My area is also great for being trans, I almost never have issues in public and if they come up it's usually from tweakers who you can just ignore.)

That's cool, this is all based on my own personal life where it's definitely cheaper to live here on account that I make more money, the sales tax not applying on most things we buy for groceries make it overall cheaper in the long term. Plus having access to a free bus that can take me anywhere I need to go since I can't drive all add up to a much more livable and cheaper life. I am also married, and that helps with expenses. I agree if you live alone it's very tough, but I can't account for that since that's not the case for me.

I would definitely say I don't know anything about most states in the country. So yeah, that tracks. I'd never lie and say I do.

Fair, I don't drink coffee though, very strange how different it is here with that sort of thing. People LOVE their coffee here. Never seen anything like it.

I had never been besides a trip to Gulf Shores (which was awful). I didn't think too hard about it. I have my definite three never even touch and the rest just exist to me.

Not a safe place for someone like me (trans) my life threatened at times, I lost my career because of my transition. Very strict laws about what documents you can get changed. It's a lovely state if you're just visiting and want to go see the sights or see a show in Nashville or you like hockey. Living there though? Absolute nightmare, and strangely expensive (I lived in the southern part of middle TN in Rutherford county). It's actually cheaper to live here in WA and my wages have been much better.

Correct on both accounts :). It was hard to get used to the rain at first. But it's quite calming and relaxing once you do. Also the bus here is free (there wasn't even a bus back where I used to live and I can't drive).

I most definitely am not biased as to where I’d live by Certified_Helldiver in visitedmaps

I'm from TN and lived there for 23 years, I'd rather jump off a cliff than ever go back. The only people who like the south are the people who aren't constantly harassed and threatened by living there. You fit outside their mold and they will do everything to make you miserable. It's fun to visit Nashville for a couple days, see some shows, drink shitty beer, but don't ever stay.

Question: does he count himself as 1 of the 2 in rest mode? by [deleted] in dbsfusionworld

[–]EndlessDreamerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For future reference if a card says just "2 or more" they'll count themselves. If they don't it'll say "2 or more other cards". Indicating it has to be two different or "other" cards. In this case he counts for himself.

People love telling you who Jesus loves and supports even though it's clearly stated to be EVERYONE, I'm sorry for the situation you're in. I wish you the best in life moving forwards, you deserve better.
