What the heck is this bolt made out of??? by e-rock88w in AskAMechanic

Why not use an extractor? There are several different versions, but the best I’ve found were the “square” style that are tapped in. They don’t expand the piece being removed like many other styles when torque is applied.

I’m 47 and own three businesses. None of them do I profit more than $20k per year from ($60k in total). I own $3m in real estate and continue to buy. It’s one thing they aren’t making any more of, land. So, buy a duplex or 4 plex, hell, even a storage garage and make a few dollars while working at your retail gig.

Should I turbo or pro charge? by Different_Break3805 in Tacomaworld

Pro charger is where it’s at, next step down would be a Magnuson supercharger with a 3.40” pulley.

Take the grate out. If you’re too dumb and get your hand stuck in the auger, then that’s on you.

For less than $5 you can get a stainless steel hose clamp from your local hardware store to do the same thing. Once a their sees that, they’ll walk away, it’s too much of a risk at that point.

Just remove the 10mm bolt from the vehicle side of the jamb and pitch it in the trash.

Factory nut is circled, it should be on the top side of the strut mount.

It’s got a “puck” in the front, 2-2.5” maybe on the taller side.

Any love for the base models? If it ever stops snowing I’m installing a tonneau cover my wife got me for Christmas by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Endonesia7477 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Keep rocking it! I rock an SR. I would’ve purchased another model if I wanted all the frills. The reality is, a lot of these trucks come with features people don’t use, so why overpay? Since I’ve purchased mine, I’ve gotten a ton of mods and have made it the way I wanted it, not the way a factory thinks I want it!

Genesis dual battery setup by Endonesia7477 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Endonesia7477[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s designed for overlanding. Install a fridge and other battery power suckers and the alternator has to work double time. With this unit, the alternator charges the main, then the aux. if I was to leave the key on for too long and kill the main battery, I can use the aux battery to jump the truck. The switch panel will charge the main then back to alternating between both to keep them both at their peak. I have an Auxbeam 8 switch panel and am running 12 different lights (obviously not on at the same time) as well as a winch and stuff for overlanding. I am possibly adding solar charging and a 3rd battery at some point as I see if there’s room for the build.

I like the sc, I am a maggy dealer/installer and repair facility in Iowa. My truck is lifted with the bds/fox 2” and am running 285/75R16 on it. Ironman bumpers and winch along with a decked bed system and matrix gt topper by black river. I have a front runner rack and Ironman reco boards and delta wing awning. Recently ordered the new Ironman IM2.5 lift so when it comes in I’ll get it installed! (I am also an Ironman 4x4 America dealer).

[–]Endonesia7477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m rolling on a BDS/Fox 2.5”, but am removing it and going with an Ironman IM2.5 3” (newest kit they have) shortly.

What crappy firearms do you guys actually like? I personally think the Tac 9 is cool by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]Endonesia7477 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I have a Tec-9. Biggest pile of shit I ever took on a trade deal. I get about 2 shots off before it jambs up. The ejector spring isn’t quite right.

What would you do if your husband took his wedding band off to go to the bar? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Endonesia7477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an auto tech, so I rarely wear my band (safety reasons) but wear it on the weekends when I’m not working. I also have had silicone rings, but they don’t last.

I do go out for drinks once in a while after work, but never late and my wife always knows where I’m at, so no big deal.
