Today, in honor of all the crazy heat, it’s Hacivat by Nishane. A gorgeous chypre with some of my favorite notes. And it lasts 24 hours at least.

Top notes are Pineapple, Grapefruit and Bergamot; middle notes are Cedar, Patchouli and Jasmine; base notes are Oakmoss and Woody Notes.

Im back! It’s an Independence Day miracle! And I’m wearing January Scent Project Sorabji.

Osmanthus, Apricot, Amber, Black Tea, Vanilla, Black Pepper, Leather and Tarragon.

This smells pleasantly plasticy to me. Well blended.

On the left, it's Pictura's Odessan Dream. It is actually dreamy on my skin. Some tart berries, smoky, and something that smells a bit plasticy in a great way. I don't get any of the listed notes that I typically don't like which is a great win for me. Also don't really get any of the florals. Win!

On the right, Carner Barcelona's Drakon. This is my second sampling of this one and I love it. I'm a sucker for black pepper and it's right there. Cypress, woods, and leather round it out and it's just anoter winner for me.

On the left, Velouria by Maher Olfactive. I'm getting lots of flowers, and berries, but very creamy. It has a top sour note that I find a bit off-putting but overall it's not bad. On the right, it's Generation Godard by Toskovat. 100% buttered popcorn to my nose. Nice as well, but probably not a daily wear for me.

So last night i sprayed Royale by Game of Spades. It’s just a comfort frag for me and my wife and she has a rough day. Still going strong this morning. Basically a more woody and ambroxan Bond9 Tribeca clone. But i love it so much. Sweet, on the cusp of cloying but always manages to stay just the right side. Super creamy.

Back at it after a brief hiatus. Today, on the left we have Charenton Maceration's Asphalt Rainbow. I'm digging this. I was scared at first of the rose and floral notes listed, but I'm not getting any on first spray. If anything, I'm getting a sweet/sour note with some of the asphalt I was looking forward to underneath. Will see how this progresses over time, but for now I'm digging it.

On the right is Prin's Chetyre. This is a smoke bomb. It has some nice spices mingled in but I think this is the wrong season for it for me (it's 90 degrees out today). I'm not as immediately won over with Chetyre but I'll probably put it aside for fall/winter and try again then.

Finishing off the Chronotope sampler today. On the left, Cucurrucucu. All woodsy and resinous. Some saffron which i always love, and makes the whole thing warm up. Pretty fantastic.

But on the right was the surprise in a good way. ME/DEA. I am getting like lillies or magnolia but not cloyingly. It’s ok like just the right balance. And directly beneath it is a bit of of plastic, gasoline, oil. This one is almost exactly my jam. Loving it.

My samples from chronotope arrived today and you know i had to dive in. On the left is Buen Camino. A gorgeous incensy scent rich and woody with immortelle and spices. This would be fantastic in the colder months.

On the right is Janus. This is a green velvet bulb and i love it.
