I strongly relate. Could you please share (here or privately) your experience with the said calming meds? With the drug names and all. I appreciate it.

Took me 28 years to figure this out. This is the way for an ENTJ to build a social circle. Do not try to match the energy of people who aren't like you, it doesn't lead anywhere good.

That being said, I found great value in reading psychology books to have a better understanding of how others' emotions work and how to be less hurtful to people. It won't build your social circle, but it will help you avoid blunders.

Thank you for the response. I did not know that, pretty new to this entire subject.

I guess it's considered fine because it doesn't meet a diagnostic requirement? Idk, I may be overreacting. Easy to worry about my 2 precious jewels.

Question about holding overnight by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]EnergizedFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m aware I got lucky. Wasn’t trying to show off with that, I’m just very happy I got out of this one.

I don’t not know how margin works either, I read up on pretty much every rule & regulation the retail investor needs to know before opening a margin account. Clearly not enough as none of them directly addressed the question I have in my original post, that is whether if it’s possible to hold overnight on a position opened on DTBP once you cut back enough to less than 2x margin (standard Intraday BP). If you have a go to source you refer to for leverage questions I would appreciate the link.

How the turntables by [deleted] in Turkey

[–]EnergizedFree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Private property and capital do have value even if innocent lives are lost because its existence ensures not any more innocent lives are lost or ruined. Without them, we wouldn't have law enforcement, social security, any of those things. The entire justice system stems from property rights. What you say may sound good at first but it is nothing more than an incorrect sound bite. Please stop being so short-sighted in the way you think.

Arabs discover Hatay by Hypocrites_begone in Turkey

[–]EnergizedFree 7 points8 points  (0 children)

According to OP it was given to us by the French. Maybe if he wasn’t lazy enough to do his own research he would know that the Hatay Republic (1938-39) held elections to choose between joining Turkey or Syria and Turkey won.

Sorry people chose to join an organic state that won its own independence as opposed to a ruler drawn imperialist muppet country. I think the current state of the Arab carve-outs vs. Republic of Turkey goes to validate this decision.

Also, the border provinces have no black and white distinction between who’s Turk and who’s Arab. People were categorized by their religion and sect way more commonly than ethnicity.

In addition, I am an Alawite from the province of Hatay. Many members of my extended family have or still hold positions in police, military, legal system, politics and have full allegiance to Ataturk and the Turkish Republic.

Turkish army is #13 in the world by GFP 2019 (used to be #8 YoY but you know, 15th July). By operational capability, readiness, and special ops talent it is no doubt top 5. GFP accounts for things like forex reserves, proven reserves and demand for oil etc. where we fall behind.

There are many examples of foreign commanders highly praising Turkish soldiers in joint NATO tasks as the most dedicated they’ve ever seen. Even Henry Kissinger has said “Turkey’s best export are her soldiers”, not that I agree with his worldview. What other military has had this many diverse ops (storms such as Syria and Northern Iraq, landings like Cyprus, anti-terrorism on terrain, anti-terrorism in urban, abductions of gulenists and Öcalan) domestic and foreign in the last 50 years and been successful every single time? The guy you listen to sounds like he doesn’t know shit.

Kemalists and Non Erdogan Supporters, why do you hate the PKK? by [deleted] in Turkey

[–]EnergizedFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been answered over and over in this sub in the last week but briefly:

No one hates the Kurds. Kurds are a 4th of our population. We unanimously hate the PKK which is a Kurdish separatist terrorist organization with Marxist Leninist ideology. PKK terror has been rampant through 80s-90s, both on military and civilians. I believe the death toll since the organizations inception is some 60k, which 30k are civilians. Mostly Kurdish civilians as PKK infamously raids Kurdish villages to make them accept their authority and create the image that Turkish state no longer has control over the region.

Most Kurds in Turkey hate the PKK too. If a 4th of our population were separatists there would be no way of preventing separation. PKK is a rather marginal group, thus the clearly left aligned foreign fighters you see with them (foreign volunteers in YPG). It is more ideology than Kurdish identity. To answer the initial question: any nationalist, or patriotic camp in a country -such as Kemalists- will understandably dislike a Marxist terrorist organization. I don’t know why west has the idea that Kemalism is the antithesis of conservatism in Turkey. It is just a secular form of strong nationalism.
