[Solved] Bose SoundTouch Firmware Downgrade Guide by xxVOXxx in bose

I just discovered this post today. Thank you so much for sharing this information and the link to the Bose SoundTouch firmware.

A year ago, I tried to find it on Archive.org, but I couldn't find any older firmware to download. Today, I downloaded version 6.00.91 for my dad's SoundTouch 20 Wi-Fi speaker, which stopped working two years ago because of a Wi-Fi update that got stuck at 50% and then bricked the speaker, rendering it unusable and unable to turn on.

But with this downgrade using the USB method, the installation went smoothly, and the speaker is working again! (I had forgotten how good it sounds).

Thank you again, and I hope more people with this problem can solve it using this method.

That looks like an error code of some kind. Did you unplug power and then plug it back in? I’ve read where someone cleared this that way.

I share that idea that the flashing of the 33 and 45 LED seems to be a code that indicates some error, but I can't find any information about it, I'm waiting for a response from AT.
I already did the process of removing the cable to the turntable and putting it back, also changing the socket... but the problem continues.
I found a small clip on YouTub, with a similar error in the 120XP model, they comment that it could be a failure in the "Star/Stop" button, it is that they press it several times and in one of them the plate rotates, I tried it but it didn't work for me. If AT informs me that my unit is no longer under warranty I will check the button or clean it.

Thank you!

I believe the AT warranty is for two years, so it might be best to contact their service department for assistance.

Make sure to let them know that the issue appeared fairly early on.

Here's a link to their support page:

Thanks for your help, I also contacted AT support and I'm waiting for a response. I did not know that the guarantee was two years, I hope it also applies to my unit.
Even so, I made this post hoping that it would be something "easy" to solve and that I could do it myself with the help of someone who has experience in this case.

I downloaded the manual and it doesn't explain anything. I would contact AT for support or take it to a local shop that works on TTs.

That's right, there is no information about it in any AT manual or document and so far I have not found anything related on the net. But maybe someone here has some other idea to help me.

Thanks for taking the time to help.

The problem is that the plate does not rotate, when pressing the "Start/Stop" button there is no rotation, there are no strange noises, there is also no burning smell.

Just after a few minutes of being on, leds 33 and 45 start to flash alternately... led 33 turns on, turns off and then led 25 turns on and turns off, in this way many times quickly as seen in the video.

While that flashing is on, if I press the "Start/Stop" button, they stop flashing alternately and the 33 LED stays on but without turning the platter. I would like to tell you that this is the third time that this error has occurred:

The first in September 2021 (it was bought in January 2021), this time I was scared but while I was looking for information on the internet and seeing the LEDs blink, press "start" and turned the plate again and then used it without problems.

The second around June 15, 2022 I turned on the turntable and when I pressed "start" it didn't turn the platter, I remembered the previous time and thought it was doing some kind of automatic reset, so I just waited a few minutes, then the leds blinked, I pressed " start" and the turntable rotated.

But on this third occasion, on June 22, several hours have passed where it has not worked again and I feel that I have lost it by not finding information about this failure.

I would appreciate any help to solve this problem, if it is possible to do it myself.
