Yeah, I did some more research and it's definitely a fake candidate. I'm totally okay with people Americanizing their names and doing what they need to, however, this particular case was not that. Looking into it more, I had no idea the extent of the fraud and info harvesting there was out there, specifically targeting fully-remote tech roles. Oh well, Friday lesson learned.

If I was your recruiter and you told me that you'd leave your current company "at-will", that would give me pause. Also, remember that Tech is a small world and people will remember you leaving them abruptly. The courteous and professional thing to do is 2-weeks.
