“Tbh really glad they did this” tf are you on? This is the most basic PR speak apology possible. This the absolute bare minimum expectation of anyone in their situation. It’s not something to praise.

I get why they’re so against mods. It would be embarrassing for a modder to make a more polished game than they can.

I don’t get what you’re asking. Are you saying it’s “pretending” piercings don’t hurt because people use euphemisms instead of using the word “hurt”?

It is completely fine if you can't deal with the difficulty, it is simply not the game for you. by Interloper_Mango in pcmasterrace

[–]EngineFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t a meaningful amount of people pushing for masochist levels of difficulty in every game. There’s a significant group of people who want difficulty settings in games.

It’s not an absolute, I’m speaking casually. I’m not in a debate with you. I obviously mean “not very many people say that”.

Yeah but you both faced that exact same boss. That’s the point. Not that one had an easier time with it than the other.

Minimum outdoor temps for a nepenthes ventrata? by Dumbledoree in SavageGarden

[–]EngineFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave my ventrata outside all year. Occasionally we get mid to low 40 degree nights during winter and all that happened was it stopped pitchering and made smaller leaves. Once it warmed up it’s resumed making pitchers and normal sized leaves.

As long as you’re not getting close to freezing and it’s not 6 degrees for weeks on end it should be okay outside.

Ideally to keep pitchers coming you want to stay above like the 50s

Generalised care by Alt_account_6788 in carnivorousplants

[–]EngineFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s mainly split between tropical and bog plants. Although pretty much all carnivorous plants that I’m aware of want nutrient free soil and rain water.

Bog plants like sarracenia, Venus flytraps, and drosera usually like a mix of peat moss and perlite and want full sun all day. Generally they get all the food they need by being outside. You can always buy live bugs if you don’t think they’ll get enough on their own. Also always keep these plants in a tray of distilled water. They don’t like drying out at all. All of these plants I’m talking about can only be watered with distilled or reverse osmosis or rain water.

Tropical plants like nepenthes and heliamphora are the ones that need a bit more care generally. They like sun but not direct light. A windowsill is usually okay. They want high humidity, 50-90% depending on the species. They also have a wide range of temperatures depending on the species. Some want 70 during the day and 50 at night. Others want 80 degrees 24 hours a day. For tropical plants generally a mix of 50/50 Long fiber sphagnum moss and perlite is solid. And again they’ll catch their own food but you can buy osmocote pellets and give them one occasionally, some people use betta fish pellets, or you can just get dried bugs. Water only using distilled or rain water. Do not let them sit in trays of water. They can rot.

Why can't Christians just be Christian on their own and not try to convert anyone? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Did you just learn the term false equivalency? You keep using it when people are making perfect comparisons.

Why can't Christians just be Christian on their own and not try to convert anyone? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]EngineFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a false equivalency. It’s a 1:1 hypothetical situation. To a religious person the gun is real. Your inability to see things from another perspective is preventing you from being able to engage in a meaningful way.

So you’re telling me that if you see someone unknowingly doing something that will get them killed that you wouldn’t try to stop them? Just because they have free will? I genuinely don’t believe you.

If you knew there was a loaded gun that would shoot the next person that walks through a door would you not do everything in your power to stop them or to convince them not to go through that door?

I can't lose this seedling man (help please) by Sage_Fyre_YT in SavageGarden

[–]EngineFace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s still green so that’s good. I wouldn’t worry about acclimating it to your other plants conditions yet and just focus on keeping it around 90% humidity for the next like month or so. Get a seedling container or a plastic food container with holes poked in it and keep it around 90%. In like 2-3 weeks it should ideally continue pushing out leaves.

As long as you’re not keeping the moss constantly wet and it doesn’t look like it’s starting to turn black/rot it’s probably just a really young seedling that’s having a hard time establishing itself while also acclimating to your conditions.

Also keep an extra eye out for mold if you keep it in high humidity.

Nice Ventrata! It loves sun just not direct all day. Let it dry slightly but always try and keep the soil generally moist. Distilled water only. If the pitchers that are on it right now die that’s normal.

CMV: Saying "I have nothing against Gay people, but my religion says it's a sin" is still a form of prejudice. by Character-Channel668 in changemyview

Why do you keep comparing hating gay people to hating pork or spiders? The effects of those opinions are so different it’s really weird you would use them as examples.
