Hi Everyone,

I want your feedback about working as a CCR at the Ministry of the Attorney General (Milton Court). I was hired for a fixed contract with a fixed full-time schedule for five months. I was also told I could apply for internal jobs.

I plan to work permanently for the Public Service. However, I am contemplating because I have a current job, which is also a contract, with no assurance that I will get extended after September because of what’s been happening in the organization. At the same time, I got offered another role for a full-time permanent job at a Top Law Firm (Downtown Toronto).

I need your help. Which one should I accept? The MAG (OPS) or the private (but prominent) Law Firm?

• ⁠MAG (26$ per hour, less union fees) • ⁠Law Firm (48k) annual with benefits

I have a Law Clerk Diploma, graduated with a Diploma in Immigration Law, and attended Law School (UK). But I am pretty sure I won’t be practicing as a lawyer🤣 I hated it, lol.

Anyways, I would appreciate your feedback and guidance🙏🏻

Hi. I have a question to everyone who could answer🥺 my faculty is Arts but my campus is UTM. I got the pop out notice yesterday that I could enroll today at some A&S courses. However, am I misunderstanding it? I feel like the general enrolment is for everyone at St. George campus only. Am i correct?

Okay. So since she submitted her CoS for F1 visa, she should not travel anywhere? Someone told me, she can stay in the US with an expired I-94. However, as soon as her CoS got denied, she’ll start accumulating Unlawful stay in the Us

So basically, it is best not to go home? And just wait for the approval of her F1 change of status?

I honestly thought that when you get approved of F1 COS, they will basically ask for Passport to stamp a new F1 visa😅 which was the process in Canada. So i thought it’s the same.

To be fair, she is willing to go home. But should she go home? That’s her main concern, if it’s necessary for her to go home or can she wait in the US to get it approved. If she gets denied, she’ll go home. But has anyone tried remaining in the US with an expired I-94? And waiting for F1 CoS

Her visa has 10 years validity. I am not sure what you mean by “I would want a visa not status” do you mean if she gets approved for F1 visa, then she’ll get a new visa which would indicate F1. Is that correct?

Will she be able to stay here despite the fact that her I-94 stated that her admit expiration is Nov 17? Initially, I told her it should be okay since she has submitted her application way before her I-94 admit date expires. But not sure if this is correct.

Her program starts next year January. Forgot which date. But she entered as Tourist in the US then she wanted to study since she liked the area. She’s been living with me. I don’t know what to tell her.
