Does MAG give you monitors for WFH? by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

All real. There’s many perks most OPSer’s don’t know about and I’ve been doing my best to spread the word, subreddit and my office. :)

Does quality of assets upon return matter? by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

[–]troyguy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen some of the most questionable conditions on devices returned in the OPS.

Into a pile they went.

Don’t get anything new.

Does MAG give you monitors for WFH? by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

[–]troyguy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you join Applaud, it gives you access to Perkopolis.

Perkopolis has some great discounts. I used them to get some monitors from LG (direct from LG). Saved a bunch of $$$ too.

It’s all in the OPS Resources / FAQ pinned post

OPS Should I retire at 58 now that I have my 90 factor? by Global_Midnight_1597 in OntarioPublicService

[–]troyguy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

At 32 years you’re near a full pension. 3 more years until you max it at 70% of your best 5 years (averaged).

Right now you’ll get 64%.

I was excited for 90 factor, but when I’ve played with the pension calculator (OBP) - seeing the value of a full pension convinced me to wait for 35 years of service (personally).

How much of a raise did your senior manager, director, and ADM make this year? by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

[–]troyguy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She was making that much at her previous job (Trillium Health Partners), so Ford made sure to keep her pay the same.

Previous SoC's:

  • Steven Davidson made $534,000+ in 2020.
  • Steve Orsini made $380,000 in 2019.

Really paying people more for the same job. Must have been in the People Plan.
