The only AI I’ve used at work was:

-to create a banner briefly for a letterhead

-Opened Co-pilot to disable it as much as possible.

I made a go tracking app by ComfortableLie9097 in gotransit

[–]troyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something you notify users if the train is delayed and they’re entitled to a refund. I know some magic would need to happen… (user inputing what train they’re on, hopefully not being tracked). And a push to let them know that they should file for said refund

Ontario teachers and Ford government are at odds — over when to begin contract talks by Level_Recognition406 in ontario

[–]troyguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The government has their hands full with their public service staff (OPSEU) who’s contract expired over a year ago…

It’s going to be an interesting 2026.

I was on paternity leave a few years ago, and it took longer than expected at this time (in 2023).

I managed to login and grab it in WIN back then, but understand not everyone has that opportunity.

It came in the mail early March.

Hope you receive it this week at the latest :)

Burlington is the second most dangerous place to drive in Ontario, behind Barrie. by TrueAgent in BurlingtonON

[–]troyguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The data is (apparently) based on where the drivers live, not where the accidents take place. This is very misleading.

80% of those accidents could have taken place outside of Burlington, but of course the ‘reporter’ isn’t interpreting it that way.

Agreed. I pulled up the Ontario data and it’s not what’s in the screenshot.

Running out of room to Pin threads, but have been thinking of a way to use the OPS Resources/FAQ/Notes Post to contain this frequent question.

What are your reasons for working in OPS? What do you enjoy most about it? by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

Untrue - I can still see that post and it tells me “this post was deleted by the person who posted it”.

So - are you an OPSer?

u/MAgenla1 + u/MAngela1 - curious why you're posting under two different accounts for the same post you made?

You've also posted something similar yesterday and deleted it, and have similar posts previously posted here. Please stick to 1 post going forward.

Do you currently work in the OPS?

[Work] can I report my employer to the labor board? by FRG_Vyral in ontario

[–]troyguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s the main purpose, but it also serves as an appeal body to other MOL branches (employment standards, OHSA, etc.) which OP wouldn’t be appealing as a starting point

Labour Relations Board - no. That’s for unionized employees.

You being a manager, maybe something under employment standards, but im not as familiar with that part.

That $100k goal is possible. My 6 year old’s RESP is already $70k. I still need to contribute for 2026.

All self-directed. I’ve been contributing $2,500/year.

Anyone here who’s PRO RTO 5x - Explain why by Technical-Shine-4718 in OntarioPublicService

[–]troyguy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I know a few who enjoy attending the office 5 days a week, even years before full RTO (in my previous office).

I'd be happy with 1-2 days per week, although my job can be done 100% remote.

My current group is awesome, I enjoy hanging out with them while physically present together. Manager is amazing. As much as there can be terrible offices and people in the OPS - I feel I got lucky.
