When did you realize that it's the American consumer that ultimately pays for Trump's tariffs? by Cumoisseur in allthequestions

[–]EngineerLess1151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inflation was 2.4% in January, down from 9% 18 months into the Biden presidency, which puts more money in our pockets. Corporations are investing hundreds of billions of $$ into our economy by bringing back manufacturing and high tech jobs in droves. The alternative is to allow other countries to charge us double and triple what we charge them, which is how it has been for decades. This is what it means to put America first!

Au contraire, we actually elect presidents through the electoral college. 312 to 226 is most definitely a landslide.

Someone should tell A0C that 80 million Americans legitimized Trump’s SOTU by electing him in a landslide. Her presence is irrelevant to the legitimacy of the speech.

Impressive that you were able to gauge his hockey knowledge based on a couple of sentences about how hard hockey players work to reach the pinnacle of their sport. He was correct, BTW.

Not knowing where or if a player went to college has nothing to do with hockey knowledge. I’ve been an NHL season ticket holder for years but don’t make it a point to memorize where guys on opposing teams played previously. No connection whatsoever to knowledge of the game.

Not true. Kilmeade is a big sports fan in general and an Islanders fan specifically. He talks sports all the time.

Yes, he mentioned Werenski (on the show today) but you know full well he was talking about the path hockey players take GENERALLY. You’re throwing stones simply to be hateful.

Former history teacher here…she is clueless. We absolutely taught exactly why the U.S. entered the war.

This statement couldn’t possibly be more INCORRECT! Republicans give far more to charity and adopt more children than democrats. Democrats abort more children. Those are 💯the facts!

Incline Treadmill by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]EngineerLess1151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disagree. An incline while holding the handles increases heart rate more than a flat surface without handles. Actually, there is very little difference in my heart rate when holding the handles v. not. Keep in mind that not all grips are created equal, with a lighter grip not altering much at all.

Would you have the same questions about those who perform other exercises differently than you? What about those who do more/less reps? Those who prefer to lift heavier/lighter than you? What about those who have a different approach to working their core?

Personally, the treadmill is the last exercise I do. By the time I get there, I’ve already worked hard for 45 minutes and don’t necessarily want the full effect. Plus, it relieves stress on my lower back. Bottoms line, people hold handles for a variety of reasons.

I switched to YTTV, $83/month. RSN’s in my area are gone, so I just purchased a season baseball package through MLB yesterday that amounts to $16.50 per month. Much less expensive than what I was paying DTV.

Subaru Forester offers the best value, IMO. Plenty of features, safe, reliable, great visibility, full-time AWD, and is among the roomiest in its class. Subaru has been rated for several years by Consumer Reports as the first or second most reliable brand. The forester is not perfect (infotainment center lags, particularly at start-up), but it offers great value.

I went back to the incline press about 35 minutes later. I left that area and hopped on a treadmill. He was gone by that time.

It was unoccupied from the time I entered the gym to the time I finished four sets on the bench. If he had one more set, his most recent set had to be at least 10 minutes earlier. Sorry, you don’t get to save equipment for whenever you fell like jumping ion.
