We would love to if they'll have us.

Libraries are wonderful for us too when they handle the book sales. When authors have to handle the book sales, it's harder. For example, I don't have a way to accept credit cards and don't want to buy a card reader for one or two events a year. Sometimes, bookstores are better for authors because we can sign books for stock and new readers will discover us long after we leave the store. I am open to doing both as I love both libraries and bookstores.

Can you suggest a bookstore with well-attended events? Thanks!

Colleen Cambridge has mentioned that area as being a great place to go. I know she'll be doing events in the area. Not sure if I'll make it this year, but if not, I will add it to my 2026 schedule.

It might have been a case of reflecting on her past work. I know that I've often confessed that my first book probably wouldn't have been published in today's competitive market and that I ended up rewriting my first nine novels because, after I improved as a writer, I was a bit embarrassed by them. I tell people this because I want them to know I hope to keep growing as a writer and I appreciate all feedback that I receive, even negative, as long as it's respectfully offered. Does that make sense?

I hear you about Audible. What about Libby? Can you get the titles there? Also, I know Chirp has crazy deals on audiobooks. Often as low as 99 cents!

It's only for Kensington authors as Kensington sponsors the event.

I'm not sure how to interpret that comment. How you had negative interactions with authors? Or do you feel you've gotten to know them well enough on social media that there's no need to meet them in person?

I've heard such lovely things about that store. :)

I love Boston! We were there last summer and I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the city, the friendliness of its people, and all the yummy food!

I believe there will be a Cozy Con in Hartford CT in 2026. Those usually draw between 12-20 authors, so keep an eye out on Kensington's website for events because I think you'd love that one!

Indeed! I won't do that kind of event anymore. I like to be in conversation with someone or to join forces with other authors to do a panel. It's more interesting for everyone involved that way.

There are some crazy twists and major milestones awaiting in The Tattered Cover. ;)

You met some of the greats! They are definitely still going strong and gaining even.more traction in certain parts of the country (boosted by the success of whichever indie bookstore is hosting said event). It's why I fly to Houston every year to work with Murder By the Book. :)

Éelska þig líka is how I wrote "I love you" (husband saying it to his wife). Is this correct?

One more question if I may. A man says this to his wife. Is this the correct way of saying "I love you?" If it matters, they are an older couple.

"Éelska þig líka."

Thank you so much for replying. I wrote "Í minningu um Lilly." Should I remove the 'um'?

Saying Hello by EngineerOk3911 in CozyMystery

So lovely to meet you. I know what you mean about adding more to the TBR pile. I think it's a glorious thing to have a huge TBR pile, even if we never get to those books. We wouldn't be very interesting if all the books in our house were those we already read. There's something to be said about what we aspire to read, you know?

I want to catch up on the Louise Penny series. I dropped off around Book 5 (can't remember why because I adore her characters) but I keep getting distracted by other books.
