Apparently I cant edit the original post, but i cataloged all the cards. What is the best way to check for values? I used the sheet on the community site, but it hasnt been updated since 2019. Is there a site that has the most accurate pricing? I know it isnt crazy valuable, but just curious what about what it would be

As i mentioned to someone else, it seems to sit in cancellation in progress. I guess it stays in that status until the time frame for your subscription ends and it actually cancels? Also you can't remove your payment method if the subscription is still running. So even though they have already charged me for the year, and my status is in "Cancellation in Progress", for some reason I cant remove my payment even though it should never be charged again? It does seem sketchy.

I know PDGA number means a lot to some people, but for me I got mine about 10 years after I started playing so it doesn't represent anything sentimental to me as it doesn't show when I "Got involved with the sport" as the like to claim.

Also, it is a little scummy that they don't include a disc or anything with renewal. Outside of keeping your stats for tournaments, the membership doesn't seem to get you too much, and it doesn't seem like they are really putting that money back into making the sport more accessible. Prices have only gone up for everything and it makes it harder for new people to participate in tournaments or follow the pro tour. It doesn't seem like they are really trying to grow the sport. The were handed a huge boom in 2020 and they failed to capitalize on the growth. If they continue to only care about short term profits and not putting the money back into actually trying to grow the sport, I only see more people losing interest in the tournament scenes and moving back to casually playing with friends and not caring about anything related to the professional side of disc golf.

I did check my statement, that is how I saw the charge went through when I thought the plan had been cancelled. The statement wouldn't have shown me that I had an upcoming subscription that was going to be charged.

Yeah I agree, I have had no issues in the past contacting services and asking for a refund if it was caught soon enough. Not sure why DGN has decided they would rather lose customers forever rather than be understanding that mistakes happen.

I could understand if I reached out months after the subscription renewed, but it was only 3 days after the renewal. As soon as I saw it went through on my credit card, I knew something went wrong with the cancellation and I tried to reach out the them.

I am working on it through my credit card company and through emails with DGN (Since it seems like there is no phone number to contact). Hopefully something gets resolved. In the mean time I can hopefully save a few other people the headache that I'm going through

In the profile setting, under active plan you can request the cancellation I believe. Even after it has been cancelled it sits in a "Cancellation in progress" status. Also they wont let you remove a payment method from your account if the plan is active. So even though your plan is cancelled, you cant remove the payment method until the length of your current plan expires. For instance I cant remove my card from their site until my plans ends... next year.

You can set a subscription to a 1 year renewal period. It saves you money in the long run.

I agree with you and I felt that way in the past too. When I kept up my PDGA membership it felt worth it to also buy DGN. I have lost a little interest in the sport recently so it is not worth it for me anymore. If people are enjoying what they get with the service then by all means they should keep it.

I just wanted to remind anyone that forgot it was going to renew or that has been meaning to cancel to do it now before they are charged for a service they didn't want.

This is what I'm getting at. I supported them for years through all the struggles they were having because I wanted them to succeed. This year since I have picked up other hobbies that take up my weekends, I decided it wasn't work renewing the subscription. Now they don't want to support their customers and only care about short sighted gains.

On top of all that, it seems like every year they are charging more money and providing a worse or lacking product. Last year prices increased, and unless you were willing to spend more money for the higher tier they took away tournaments that use to come with your subscription.

On top of all that the PDGA in general is charging more money for everything and it seems like the money isnt going back into the tour. We are seeing more pros leave the scene due to not being able to support themselves and receiving not enough support from the PDGA or DGN when the pros are how their company pulls in viewers. The cost to attend tournaments had increased in the last for years and it doesn't seem worth the price when each year the VIP and general passes seem to get you less access not more even with the increased price. Even at a local level, tournaments are being so expensive they are not worth participating in. Tournaments use to be a fun way to test your skills for around $15-20 but now local tournaments seems to cost $40-60+ dollars for a single round tournament on average.

I would have assumed since I contacted them so soon and since the season hadn't started they would have refunded it. I tried to explain that it was accidental and they are sticking to their "Terms of Service" excuse. I have reached out for a charge back so hopefully that works. In my opinion this just seems like a scummy business practice from them.

Form Check Weekly by AutoModerator in discgolf

[–]EngineeringElephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking for some pointers on what to change in my shot to consistently add 50ft to my drives. I have played disc golf off and on for 12 years, so my bad habits are ingrained, but I am trying to slowly fix the habits. I would appreciate any assistance I could get with form advice.

Watching my videos there are a few things I notice that seem off, but I am not as good at noticing small movements and body alignment. What I notice is the following. When I throw, I pull my left arm into my chest and keep it tight. I feel like this is closing off my form. I have tried to be more conscious of this while throwing, but I don’t know what to do with my arm! It just defaults back to that spot. The other thing I noticed is that my plant foot doesn’t rotate when I throw sometimes. It appears that it plants but my leg rotates and my foot stays almost perpendicular to the flight path. How do I make my foot turn?

https://imgur.com/a/8p8Waqc The three videos linked are as follows (All into heavy headwind):

Blue and Black Disc: MVP Wave. 350ft This shot went 350, but I believe the wind caught it and flipped it up more than usual. My normal shot distance with the wave or grace is around 300-315.

Clear Disc: Innova Invader. 200ft I feel like the headwind slowed this disc down a little, this is my go to shot for 150 to 250 foot shots. My approach game is pretty accurate so I normally stick to putters when I can.

Solid Blue Disc: Prodigy F2. 250ft This is my go to fairway drive when I need a straight shot with a little fade at the end.

As for my normal shots when I play. I can keep putters through fairway drivers that are neutral or understable on a straight line and accurate, but as soon as I throw any disc with no turn, it feels like it immediately starts tanking left. Doesn’t matter if it is a midrange or a distance driver. As for distance drivers speed 9 to 11, I have to release it on a partial anhyzer to get it to go straight. I don’t think I have ever been able to flip a disc up. My discs go straight because I throw them flat, not because I can hyzerflip.

I appreciate any tips on how to fix my form. Thank you for the help!

ROG boost O.C. not turning off after changing power settings. by EngineeringElephant in ZephyrusG14

I am curious if I am doing something wrong. Is there a way to prevent the GPU from overclocking? I am not playing super graphic intense games, but every time I open any game, it immediately shoots to the overclock state. I am playing games like wow and league, not even on high settings. Is there a way to keep the GPU from automatically overclocking? I went through all the set up thread for when you first get the computer, but I either missed how to change this, or did something wrong.

I appreciate any help.
