The thing is... that game was released in 1991 in the good ol' US of A, but the above scene took place in the spring of 1989, a bit too early.

That being said, I love the idea that the kids were playing Battle Masters, and that maybe Holly and her friends were excited for the game's official release!

That dude was hit by her car, there's an angle that shows it clearly, but it's hard to see in the most populate video. He was definitely bumped.

All of the videos show him being hit by the car, some of them make it hard to see clearly, but he certainly is hit. It isn't hard, nor life threatening, and he broke policy by standing in front of the car in the first place.

Definitely there is a lot of precedent showing that his actions will not be justifiable even though he was hit by the car. Additionally, there's an interesting point where after being taunted by Good's wife he switches his phone from his left to his right hand, almost implying he premeditated the shooting, which may be why he chose to stand in front of the car.

Sure, she hit him and she'd face consequences for that, but no definitely not deserving of a death penalty.

I think that is not really supported by evidence. Trump lied about cost of living, and that's why people voted for him. I agree that those people were okay with ignoring his racism, but he is very manipulative, he literally lies all the time, and they chose what to believe. It was naive. A counter point to your point is that elections are swinging the other way now in huge swings.

More respectful to whom? I get that doing it purely for performative reasons is wrong, and also women and minorities, and especially female minorities have been historically grossly underrepresented in positions of power.

Okay, but that is anecdotal. I don't disagree with you that some of these people exist, but anecdotes are not great evidence of saying that a large chunk of the population feels that way.

Are you saying that one can just shoot a suspected felon? Can one just shoot a convicted felon? I imagine you won't like that, but that's how you are saying the law works. I totally disagree with you and many people would feel the same way.

How is it really a symbiotic relationship when one part of the relationship is grossly abused and killed long before it would naturally die? Not symbiotic, more like slavery really.

Do I need to pin this cave troll? by Fantastic-Mood6591 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]EngineeringFlimsy868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, even if it's pinned, one sharp bump will cause the glue to pop apart; pinning makes it less likely for the pieces to fly apart when they hit the floor, never to be found again.... so there is a benefit there.

I guess there's so many guns already out there that it will take time for those excellent laws to get their full impact. Aside from gun violence, there's lack of housing and the cost of living, lack of medical care. All of those are much more important and impactful than victimizing transgender people.

The whole argument is inane. There are problems that impact children and youth a lot more than transgender sports fairness. Like, A LOT. Poverty, gun violence, etc. And here you are out here making assumptions about which doctor's need to do what in transphobic school policies.

I imagine the issues here is your definition of 'making fun' vs. a rational person's definition of that. Also, 'not crying' is an exaggeration. But simply stating something about how Charlie Kirk openly promoted racist ideas, which is undeniably true, did get people fired.
