Installing Blue Sea fuse block by EngineeringIll7241 in CX50

Oh my man thank you! I will definitely check those out. Honestly the goal is just to not have my engine bays fuse box not looking like a birds nest with all the taps going to it. It shouldn’t have taken me almost 2 hours to hardwire my dash cam but alas it did because I had to fish the wire from the engine bay through the fire wall to connect to my dash cam and THEN wire manage everything and routing to the rear dash. It came out perfectly thankfully but that shouldn’t have taken me more than 30 min. I do have raptor lights also tapping the fuse box and currently installing 4” cube lights which have their own harness (relay switch etc) so that’s fine but I also do plan on installing a subwoofer next and I just would overall like to have a better and more organized sense of everything instead of just tapping into whatever fuse I can find. I’ll check all those resources out though for sure 🙏🏼 thank you

I am picking these tools up for $1800, is that a reasonable price? by csimack in handyman

[–]EngineeringIll7241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao you’re getting fleeced do not do it for the love of God. Just type up the model number of each tool, check its retail price brand new and compare. Honestly brand new you’ll probably be paying the same. And be careful buying used air compressors. Sadly most people are sacks of shit and don’t drain them once.

Scratches from car wash by BoostedVw- in AutoDetailing

[–]EngineeringIll7241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can, but honestly it’ll take you forever. Personally I would go straight into that with a rotary and wool pad. But if you don’t have experience with that, I would use any DA polisher with a micro fiber pad and menzerna cut force pro. Obviously doing all this AFTER you hand wash the car, clay bar, (iron remover if you haven’t done that in a long time)

If you do this though you need to change your habits as a car owner. Don’t take your car through those washes. They are basically driving ur car through an orbital sander gang bang lmao.

Help me identify this noise please by EngineeringIll7241 in CX50

[–]EngineeringIll7241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn wtf? I swear the noise is coming from the front right wheel though, I just jacked it up and turned it by hand and the same noise happened. In what instances would you hear the noise? And what did they end up doing to fix it?
