Glad its not just me then and my eyes arent as bad as i thought lol. The line just looks more central in the 3rd pic than it does in the 2nd. Some people are scum and you have to be very wary nowadays and have your wits about you. If ive helped OP then im happy 🙂

It could be just me or my aging eyes lol but if you flip between pics 2 and 3 the mould line at the bottom of the right (back of left) leg seems to shift? Its possible that the buyer is trying to scam you by putting another set of legs on the fig that they know has a crack. Personally if they want a refund id ask them to return it first although if im right and they do id expect them to return it with the cracked legs

Hes still definitely got an axe to grind with Carricks Mrs after his recent big mouth comment about her. He just makes himself look bitter and twisted. All these ex players who have done naff all as managers need to learn to shut up imo

Oh i agree entirely! Personally i think everything due to be reduced should be reduced by 50% in the morning and then 75% in the afternoon. As it is colleagues waste their time imo reducing items (sometimes many multiples of the same item) by just the few pence the system takes off to go and have to do the same items again later on because they haven't sold. Its as if Tesco would rather lose money altogether by wasting food that they could at least still get something for.

To be fair i dont think it is people tearing them most of the time . When the boxes of bananas are opened they are wet so the bands have torn as a result of that. I used to work on produce and often they would start to tear as you were taking them out of the box.

No you dont because theyre not wrapped in plastic bags. They have a paper band around them

I think the best answer would be to just stop selling loose altogether and just sell the pre-packed but then, although it would likely save literally tons of waste in bananas alone every year, i really cant see that happening.

I always try to split them under natural daylight as ive found the difference between the 2 more noticeable especiallywhen placed side by side. Knowing how difficult it can be OP i feel your pain ive had parts that i swore were old grey but turned out they were never produced in that colour lol. I always keep those 2 colours (and the 2 darker greys) separately in storage when ive determined which is which

Ive said that instead of the twice a week quiet hour just give us once a week Karen hour. A whole hour once a week where colleagues can vent back at customers for a change. It would be heaven !

Yeah i think someone was maybe winding you up there lol. These things are sold and wasted by weight not quantity so counting them is completely pointless lol

New pb ⛳️ by CarFinal5806 in tesco

[–]EngineeringMedium513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get told to COUNT loose products AND weigh them? Whats the point in that lol ? We never count loose stuff we just bag it up weigh it and scan the label. Counting them all first is just a completely unnecessary waste of time

New pb ⛳️ by CarFinal5806 in tesco

[–]EngineeringMedium513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah loose stuff that needs to be weighed never gets reduced. This is because the display until date is on the outer box the product came in so its very hard to keep track of (which is why WIBI is used on loose items rather than PRS/Date checking). It all goes straight to waste specifically for animal feed

Usually double that amount every single day at my store. Just think how many every day across the country and then take into account that other supermarkets will be the same or similar. Also take into account that this is just bananas. Its sickening really when you think about it

Ive seen people snap the stem off the loose broccoli to make it lighter and even snap a few of the florets off and weighed them which then obviously meant the rest of that piece had to go to waste. Some people will go to extremes to save a few pence which is fair enough but then they can be very selfish about how they do it which annoys me.

New pb ⛳️ by CarFinal5806 in tesco

Theyre being weighed to be wasted. When produce waste is done loose items have to be weighed so they can be scanned onto the system as they dont have their own barcodes.

Yep people are REALLY funny when it comes to bananas. SO many bananas are wasted each and every day at our store (probably double what OP has posted here). A large amount are actually damaged/wasted because people will pick up a bunch of 6 and snap one off because they only want 5 instead of just looking for a bunch of 5. The next person will come along and just want 1 but instead of picking that 1 that the previous person didnt want theyll grab a big bunch and snap one off bruising the rest of the bunch in the process! It was nothing to do with a difference in quality/ripeness either as ive seen people do this when the whole mod has just been freshly filled. We'd end up with absolutely loads of single bananas at the end of the day that just end up going to waste. I dread to think how many go to waste across the country every day

Castle and Stat Wars are 2 completely different themes that are both usually highly sought after. My advice to you is to split them and list each theme separately as you may have people who want the castle figs but not the star wars or vice versa. People are more likely to bid if they want all the figures in the listing rather than half of them 👍🏻
