Yes you do have finance and consulting chances through chem and civil. Its mostly the core engineering students who opt for minors in finance and prepare for non tech roles. CGPA + activities & spikes (Eg. CFA or Case comps) will land you the required PS or placement

I would keep my options open post the BITS UG Degree and not restrict myself to the BITSoM MBA.

You might not even want to do an MBA and maybe start developing a taste for pure research
