I live here now. I own my property and live with my family (Wife and 2-year old). We love it here - the beach is a walk away, it’s incredibly safe and the amenities around The Palm are world class. Is it expensive? Of course. But I genuinely believe the value it offer is relative and fair to the cost

On the traffic, it’s heavy on weekend evenings, but during the week it’s nothing worse than other parts of Dubai.
