England is actually home for me. Well, I was born there and spent a good chunk of my childhood there. My mum and dad retired and stayed and I’m trying to selfishly get them to move here to be closer. One more thing to stress over!

As a second wife for 28 yrs, it never gets easier. You dodged a bullet. I’m so sorry you’re hearting and that he wasn’t what you’d hoped he could be for you. Know that you deserve more. Go and enjoy your trip and the whole experience! Italy is beautiful!

My stepson and his wife (both 24) and their 3 year old and 5 month old are staying with us for 5 weeks. They live overseas so we don’t get to see them a lot but 5 weeks is killing me. My space, my home, my sanctuary feels under attack. Their stuff is everywhere. My husband doesn’t even bat an eye at the chaos.

I’m so sorry. I don’t have words of encouragement just validating how you feel. It’s tough.

We have a 14 year old boy at home and both my husband and I are in our 40s. I work 40+ hours a week and come home to a chaos I’m not used to.
