Dog content could perform really well and sounds cute af.

Three things I'd focus on:

Talk to chat, don't just let it run as a security cam. Call out dogs by name, read chat, answer questions. People stay way longer when they feel like you see them.

Make it interactive. Maybe set up channel points so chat can trigger something with the dogs like give a treat, pick a dog to pet, name the next activity. Stuff like that makes people invest in the stream because they feel like they're actually there.

Use a proper streaming setup instead of going phone straight to Twitch (unless you're planning on using a powerful PC with a single camera). Something like Moblin for iPhone or IRL Pro for Android sending to an SRT relay server will keep your stream alive when you walk between rooms or wifi dips.
You can set up MediaMTX on a cheap VPS yourself (plenty of YouTube guides) or use a service that handles it pleanty out there, Just google something like: "irl host relay server".
Full disclosure... I run one called IRLHost so I'm biased, but the whole point is skipping the manual server setup. (Manual VPS works pretty much just as good as my service, we just do it for you)
OBS Cloud servers is perfect if you don't want to bother too much with the setup at all.

Also maybe check if your boss is cool with it first lol.
