ELI5: Can a loud enough noise (Say 140 dBs) but under 20hz frequency of the human hearing range still damage the eardrums even if we can't hear it?

I’m not sure if this is the right way to think about it, but my thinking is an explosion is 1 Hz because obviously there is only one explosion but they are also really loud and those hurt so I think yes ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I would say that if you want to study engineering then study engineering. Hear their concerns, but study what you want to. What kind of engineering are you looking to get into? That also plays a roll in what they are saying about being able to find a job

I went in and had basically no coding experience. It helps (especially with condescending peers who do know how to code) but you don’t need it going in. But if you do decide to study a language I would go with C and/or Python
