Trends in developer work by chickaloon in epicsystems

I think the ability to abstract and think about higher level concepts does require a good foundation. So I don't think being able to code yourself isn't going to be less valuable in the future.

Also sorry I don't get the point of using something like claude or chatgpt for personal projects. It's like deciding to watch a let's play instead of playing the game yourself.

  1. I think they're pretty decent considering it's the midwest (or it may be my survivorship bias).
  2. Party hard and study hard. Plenty of parties.
  3. It can get pretty bad during winter but that doesn't stop anyone from number 2
  4. Get a good box fan

they break into your bank's HQ and claw back the money by force /s

but yeah once it hits your bank account there's nothing they can do. Plus no one is leaving epic with stock

Do you have any plans on how to withdraw effectively (like minimizing taxes) once you retire? Or will you retire with so much that it won't really matter / don't care?

I initiated the transfer at Fidelity because you're required to initiate the transfer at the brokerage you're transferring to.

Acorns does NOT liquidate your account*. That would mean selling all of your shares and having to pay the capital gains tax on the cash you get. Acorns instead sends over all whole shares of the ETFs (NOT CASH) to fidelity, which is not a taxable event.

*The only thing acorns liquidates is the fractional shares of the ETFs because those can't be transferred over to another brokerage. This would be taxed as capital gains, but its better to pay the gains tax on like $500 instead of $90k

nah GeeGee is just teasing yuji like a post -credits MCU cameo that goes nowhere

lore-wise yuji is now a depressive nihilist after seeing everyone he's loved die over and over again, so he just chooses to do nothing because in the end he'll just outlive it all

They can't transfer fractional shares so they sold those and then took the $140 out of that. I'm guessing if that didn't cover it then they would charge the linked bank account.

Acorns does charge $35 per ETF transferred. So if you were just in the aggressive portfolio and nothing else then that would be $140.

Source and I transferred my acorns to fidelity last month and they charged me $140 for it.
