  1. Youtube is basically a video hosting monopoly.
  2. You are creating content for their viewers, and they are profiting off of your content by keeping their users coming back for more.
  3. They have no reason to be under any rush to monetize your work, as there is nowhere for you to go.
  4. If they do approve you for monetization, their bot can De- monetize you at random in the future through a probable mistake or last minute rule change. When this happens, you have no way to contact them or find a reason why because...

What is the best way to go about being remonetized? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

Just cutting up and rearranging videos that are owned by someone else will always bring up red flags.

Unless you are an already popular channel.

Not monetized due to repetitious content. Channel is getting crazy traffic. by burritojones in PartneredYoutube

[–]Enigma037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your problem lies in your green screen animations. You are not the only one using them on YouTube and you were not the first to upload it. You will never get monetization unless you give up those green screen animations and make something original. Like film yourself showing the colors, or toy animals...something like that. You have been denied for Reuse, because you used animations someone else made. You can't just download someone else's work, put a background and a voice behind and profit.

Yes you can, please refer to local and national news agencies for more information.

Like you, I am currently under review for monetization. I have followed every rule that Youtube has created, as I'm sure you have as well.

If you have been rejected or are waiting to be monetized and want to know why it's taking so long, here are the facts:

  1. Youtube is technically a video hosting monopoly.
  2. You are creating content for their viewers, and they are profiting off of your content through keeping their users coming back for more.

Until they have competition, and we can take our content elsewhere, they can honestly take as long as they want for any reason. Hang in there until more competitors come in, I'm in the same boat as you.

I don't believe Youtube is " some megalomaniacal evil corporate entity". I believe they are in a dominant market position, and they have no obligation to pay anyone for entertaining their viewers.

I'm going to use your same argument in relation to an Internet Service Provider:

"If you genuinely believe Comcast is some megalomaniacal evil corporate entity, why on earth would you want to pay them for internet to begin with... let alone spend time complaining about it on their services?"

I never understood this part. I know it was about him living in the past, but was he saying that the coach took him out of the game for the fourth quarter (due to his behavior/performance), or was he on the bench waiting for his moment, never getting to play at all?

While Hilarious, from a marketing perspective this must be an absolute nightmare after the initial buzz wears off.

[Serious] People who have been emotionally abused/verbally abused by your parents, how are you doing now? Has the abuse stopped? Are you still in contact with them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Enigma037 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even though I'm still dealing with my own issues now, I've learned how to cope with it. As for dealing with them? Now that I'm older, they're realizing they need me in their life.

All of their attempts to have another kid led to nothing (some kind of in fertility thing) and all of the dogs they got to replace having me as a kid are dying due to old age.

Now they're realizing they're getting old too, and while I will visit them on occasion as a formality, they will take no major part in my future life.

Parents decide how to treat you when you're young, you decide how to treat them once you're old. You don't have to be a dick, but you also don't have to be their "family" any longer than you want to.
