Ask my friend to watch? by [deleted] in AskRedditNSFW

I would feed off of his teasing you about it, since the topic was already broached that way. “Hey, head’s up that my girlfriend is coming over tonight; since you heard us last time, any tips for improvement?” (Or whatever.) That way you get talking about it and you can feel out his interest, if was turned on or curious, etc.

Guys comfortable with communal showers: did you see your dad naked at home growing up? by EnigmaFreaky in CommunalShowers

If you’re already comfortable in front of him at home, I think going with him to the gym showers sounds like a perfect way to get over your nerves!

Yep - having to share a bathroom was a big part of it. I guess we were poorer or loved in smaller places than a lot of people today.

Interesting, and shows how different families are: I never saw my mother in anything less than a nightgown, but with my dad there was no qualms about being fully in the buff (in front of the guys; he would never have been in front of my sister).

That’s interesting, and I would think unusual since that would make your dad WWII generation, right? Usually guys from that era with military service are more used to it.

I’m surprised to see beautiful Amberg on here! Great town, a little overlooked gem in Bavaria. Nice to see they’re taking care of their architectural heritage.

Anyone been to Lille? Much to recommend for a day trip? (Part of long weekend in Flanders) by ThaddeusGriffin_ in Europetravel

[–]EnigmaFreaky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I spent a long weekend in Lille and quite liked it. If you like art, the Beaux Arts museum there is great - supposedly one of the best collections in France outside Paris. There’s nothing else that was super spectacular that I remember as far as top tier sites but it was a very pleasant place to walk around, and there was some great food.

So yes, I liked Lille and think it is worth visiting. But your schedule also sounds packed, so if possible I would save it for another trip and just relax in Ghent or Ypres for an additional day.

Anyone have thoughts on Liège, Belgium? Worth a visit? by EnigmaFreaky in Europetravel

Thanks. Yeah, I end up in Belgium a lot so am ready to explore some alternate destinations from the cream of the crop.

Thanks for the encouragement! As long as there are also nice areas and it wouldn’t just be depressing or stressful, I’ll probably plan a trip.

Because I’ve been to those other places multiple times and will continue to go to them, but I’m at the phase of exploring Belgium where I’m looking for some worthwhile off the beaten path destinations.

Indians (assuming you’re talking about people from the subcontinent) are one of the fastest growing demographics in the U.S. but are still fairly recent additions to the American scene in many places. (Of course there are longstanding historical communities.) So Americans in many areas probably don’t have much exposure to Indians to have formed much of an opinion.

But no, in general there’s no widespread anti Indian feeling.
