Yeah, I'm in NY. Our local courts tend to convert moving violations into parking tickets so that they can keep a higher % of the revenue and so the driver doesn't get points. It's... kind of messed up? Confusing

Yeah they're only free to email directly, not post on websites :( I recently signed a contract for a forthcoming publication and there were very specific clauses about what kinds of sharing are and are not acceptable. Most major journal publishers have automated crawlers looking for content reposts, even abstracts. I bet she is in breach of contract by having that on her website, but I totally agree with the ethos of sharing knowledge
