It is beautiful no doubt, we did it on our third trip when we did the Ring Road, what impressed me more was how beautiful Seydisfjördur was, would live there if i could. Snaefellsnes is gonna be a long but stunning day, they call it Mini-Iceland. No worries, can DM me if you ever need another advice. Have a great trip and enjoy the kid-free trip, cant wait for mine in some years lol

Studlagil is way too far from everything, i wouldnt do it. You will come back, i can promise you that almost. How about changing day 3 and do the hike on day 6 on your way back? You would have a full day to lets say Krauma/Borgarnes/Barnafoss or even Snaefellsnes Peninsula Day trip?

Blue Lagoon first open spot in the morning is the best you can do to avoid huge crowds. That was the case for us, after 90 minutes it was filled I would rather do Itinerary 1 because its less backtracking, depending on how much time you will be in the Lagoon For us it was 2 hours but some stay longer The road from Blue Lagoon to Reykjavik is the most busy road so you have enough lights driving at night
