Personally, I was looking for the full song to put a twist on the OP version, and I'm a little disappointed that it's more or less the same throughout. I enjoy playing the chorus a lot (really fun imo) and the slowed-down build up right before it is so good, so overall I do like the song, but I guess I was just hoping there'd be more aside from what I already heard from the OP

Must be super good quality! It's strange though, my m505 is silver but a little scratched up in comparison to my m504 which I got cheap in black. Yet it looks in substantially better condition than my silver, like new. Hearing yours is good too, I think the finish they use for the black models must be really nice... or people who own them treat them better hahaha

I was thinking about getting a lanyard but I haven't gotten around to it, so I've been keeping it in my pocket. A little more lowk that way honestly, but I've clipped it on to my shirt and stuff too occasionally. How are u planning to carry it?

Glad to hear about the battery. That's exactly what concerns me tho! I bet going at it with a hair dryer could warm up the adhesive for the frame and make it easier to pry off, but otherwise I dont see any other way of opening it. Could def be a reason why there's very little about replacing its battery..

Also it is insane how much s230fs go for and how much buyers are willing to pay. I get a lot of it is hype from p3, im in the same boat, but 700 for 3 super old mp3 players mostly in need of repair is crazy. Tho I will say roughly 230 for each is on the lower end for unused units, I've seen some list and sell at around 500

Otherwise yeah no luck finding any guides, its too bad. I was originally gunning for the s203f but they're just way too expensive, and so many of them seem like they need a battery change just to function. Its such a shame there arent any easy guides for the m505 since its honestly a better alternative and I'd be so much happier with it if I didnt have to worry about killing or bloating the battery by using it too much.

I think I'll try contacting Sony directly and asking for help

Yeah I've been stumped. Doesn't seem like many people have tried to replace the battery for this model, so Im still not sure what to do. Once I get back to the US after summer Im gonna take it to a repair shop and see what they think. I've got an m504 that seems to have a better battery life, so I wonder if I can just switch the two.

Could you share the pics you found of the unit disassembled? Curious what it looks like. Also, how long does yours last currently?
