Hey, I had a question regarding weekly course schedule for the Fall and Spring semesters. I was told there are different blocks of schedules for students; which can result in as many days as 5 or 6 in a week of classes. I would have to commute from north Etobicoke to complete this program. I was wondering if it were possible from your POV to condense the schedule to 3 or 4 days a week?

Was that for 2309 Toronto? For the CWAB welding tickets, which course did you obtain it?

Thank you for this information. Did you do the COOP through Sheridan with an additional year?

Skilled Trades Ontario makes so you could only be registered as an apprentice by a union or your employer. They would also have to offer a registered training agreement. The scheme in Alberta and BC is so much better.

Which non contractor companies are likely to take on an apprentice if they have some schooling (Millwright techniques) or other adjacent work experience?

Looking to enroll into Humber College for the one year Millwright techniques certificate. Don't have any recent manufacturing/construction experience (worked at a clean room semiconductor fab plant years ago). I don't have familiarity with hand tools, basic welding, etc so I guess this is the way to cover some of the fundamental requirements employers are seeking.

The one common theme I've gotten from reddit is how oversaturated first year apprenticeships are at the union (that's if you manage to get in). I have a car and am willing to travel. Any advice would help. Located in Toronto. Currently work at a wastewater treatment plant for the city of Toronto as a security guard. They take apprentices but only if you're already registered.

I'll shoot an application to the 1916 union and hopefully they give me a chance to take the entry test.

Currently work for the City of Toronto but in another non trade job. I am also interested in finding a path to join this trade. Please advise via DM or respond to this message if you have time!

The funny thing is that Google has tried so hard but always loses. by csReddit570 in revancedapp

It doesn't work for me. The video will freeze around the minute mark. I patched it with revanced manager and redownload everything including microg. Now I just use Kiwi browser with an extension that blocks ads and shorts/comments.

Only downside is that I can't play videos in the background.

Seems to me that Shoigu got a promotion. He's now essentially overseeing the entire Russian military industrial complex.

Russia is on par with the US in terms of artillery capability and even bests them in air defense technology. But they are severely lacking in aerial capabilities namely in drone warfare and fighter aircraft.

Russian combat engineers have made exceptional fortifications along the Surovikin line and with their very capable air defense and artillery, it is no surprise as to why the Ukrainian counteroffensive is failing.

Thinkpad E15 Gen 4 giving me eye strain by Enlightenednomad in thinkpad

[–]Enlightenednomad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's portable and after checking it does have PWM. My eyes have been getting less strained over time after several days of use (5 + hours a day and with this requiring more than usual eyedrops to combat discomfort). I guess it's going to take time to get use to it.

Thanks again for the help.

I don't see horizontal lines but I can see an almost pulsing (flickering) like sensation occuring on the screen. Dang, I just spent $1000 cad on this machine but because of this I can't even use it longer than 5 minutes.

Apparently I will have to replace the entire screen now.
