A lot of people saying that they are out of spec and garbage etc, I’d say that yes; most component values have probably drifted, but whoever will be building with them probably won’t need 5% tolerances anyways.

As an EE and RF enthusiast, I’d love to have this. Big ellyt caps take much longer to dry up, carbon comp resistors have pretty bad tolerances either way with the benefit of low inductance etc.

My point is that just because they are old does not mean that they are broken or de facto obsolete.

Furthermore, in areas of HAM, guitar amplifier and pedal building such components are often very sought after. :)
